I went to see Taken 3 for my birthday and searched for a theater nearby because I thought AMC was closed down. To my surprise it was very much open and newly renovated with powered leather reclined seats and new screens. I was impressed until the cashier asked me to choose our seats on her register. I have been going here since 2005 and I am glad they got rid of the old but it is overpriced charging babies and toddlers. I had to choose my toddler a seat who was in a stroller so I was not impressed in their decision to charge all ages. The MAIN EVENT downstairs were the gym use to be was a nice touch. It is pricey because the minimum purchase for a play card is $25 with a bonus $5. It is good for one person but I shared it with hubby. We took turns playing different Arcade games. We played over 19 games which is pretty decent. They offer laser tag, gravity, a nice bowling alley with pool and hockey table areas etc. We were hungry and walked over to the Pizza Bar and order a whole pizza with unlimited toppings for $16.95. The pizza was very good similar to New York Style Pizza. They also offer it by the slice for $3.95. They also offer fries and gelato for dessert in six flavors.Seems to be their focal point and they allow you to try all the flavors before buying. The menu is very limited. You can hold birthday or party events where the large tables and floor space is available in front of the Pizza bar. The total spent at AMC was $70 which did not include any drinks at the bar that is nicely placed near the Pizza bar. It was only three of us. I purchased one play card for $25 so to have everyone enjoy themselves without restriction, it can get pricey buying a card for every member in your family. The machine says one card per person but we shared one card and brought a whole pizza to save. Unfortunately you to enjoy the movie every person kid have to pay including baby. I would go again for bowling which is $22 per hour for max of six people. Bowling and socializing too much may cost you an hour. Shoes are $3.50. Very nice upgrade but if your on a date, its a nice spot to get to know each other doing a little bit...
Read moreI have personally experienced this location plenty of times but I never had this experience that I had tonight with my family . I will never be back at this movie theater after what I experienced tonight . I paid for 3 tickets 2 adults , 1 child . My family and I came to watch the new movie Sinners . We paid to watch the movie at 8:00 we get there at 7:45 . We orders regular sized popcorn bucket also a packet of airheads sour extremes . The total was $17.56 by its self after we paid $62.72 for the tickets to watch the movie . We get to our seats and the screen started playing the soon to be coming previews of movies . Not even 20 mins into the previews . All of a sudden the lights went out . At first we thought they was turning the lights off to play the movie we came to see . After 5 mins goes by we find out that the power went out . The mangar came into the auditorium and stated “ I apologize for the inconvenience guys we are trying to get the power back on at this time if the power doesn’t come back on we will give you guys another ticket to scone back one day to see the movie “ . One lady asked the man “ Can we get a refund “ ? The man said “ No we are just giving out tickets “ . We then went to guest services and another man asked us did we want the tickets . My family and I said “ we didn’t want the tickets we wanted a refund and where’s the manger “ The guy then said the manger was busy trying to get everyone out of the theater . We asked the man can we get a refund he then proceeded to say we can not get a refund because the system is down so we have to come back tomorrow . My family said what time do yall open tomorrow ? The man said it depends if the power is back on but that’s out of my control I can’t do anything about this but give yall another ticket . The man proceeded to give a nasty a attitude towards me and my family . We have it all in video recording . Please do not waste you guys money on this movie theater . Worst...
Read moreI debated for a few days if I should post my experience here or send email to customer service. I ultimately decided that others should be aware of my experience. Me and a friend had decided to go see a movie. She purchased both tickets, so proof of purchase was on her phone. I arrived before her and was waiting in the waiting area. I am handicap and had a sudden urge to go to the restroom. Since my friend hadn't arrive yet (15 minutes away), I asked if I could go to the restroom and right back out to wait for my friend. It was told no. Because of my issue, I said ok and asked if someone could escort me to the restroom so I could come right back out and wait for my friend. Again I was told no because of some rule they have. I said ok and went back out to the lobby to wait on my friend. In less than 5 minutes, it was obvious that I could no longer wait. I was in tears and very close to having an accident in their lobby. I then called my friend very upset. She then sent me a copy of the purchase to allow me entrance to the restroom. At this point I was crying and could hold it any longer. I was begging please let me go and flashing the purchase receipt for entry. Needless to say, I urinated on myself before I reached the restroom. Luckily, I was wearing minimal protection so it didn't pass through my clothes. How embarrassing!! I had to watch the movie in wet underwear. On top of that, one of our seats was out of order. We complained ro the manager bur no effort to ease the situation was made. Just kept repeating this rule. I also had a bandaged arm from surgery. It blows my mind that a person with one working arm who asked for an escort could possibly be a thought of as someone who was intending to damage property. That makes no sense. I will never go to this theater again and have been very vocal about my experience. DO BETTER AMC...
