Eastlake Skating Center — Attraction in Warsaw

This was the 1st time my kiddos and I were at Hansen's, my handicap daughter had a wonderful time, I on the other hand not so much, I was taunted by teenagers who were not brought up with manners obviously, I was body shamed the entire night, made fun of for being "fat", was told several times. I didn't know they allowed fat people on roller skates, can the wheels really hold her up, wow the floor might cave in if she falls, when skating near her the floor creaked, elephant on skates coming through, This was miserable for me. I love to skate and I am in the process of losing weight and this is the hobby my daughter and I share. It's a great workout and fun but last night I was never so mad in my life, the place is wonderful most everyone I encountered was amazing but a group of 5 teenagers made what was suppose to be fun njght a miserable time for me. We want to come back and we may I just won't be. My husband will be brjnging the kids back. Just so everyone is aware skating is for all body types. At least I wasn't on the sidelines, I was up skating with my kiddos and being active. To the owners hats off to you guys for trying to make that place a great atmosphere, loved the announcement about being respectful and the language.I do have teenagers and they have not one time bullied or done what these teenagers did last night. A week ago my sons new shoes got swapped he come out barefoot I went back in asked where my sons shoes were that were given to them in exchange for roller blades. The lady assures me she would have owners reimburse me got my name and phone number . Have yet to hear from them!!! I have went this this rink since I was 3 years old the old owners were fantastic! A staple in this community since I was a kid! I’m 37 and grew up in this skate rink! Love it even today! My kids are always asking me to go here they love it also and we have had bday party’s here they are wonderful and you can rent the rink out for a few hours so just your party can skate together and they were very helpful and you do not have to dump $$$ to rent it.
