A Tale of Two Sandwiches: From Decent to Disastrous
I am utterly appalled by the sandwich I purchased today. Yesterday, I had the same sandwich from this place, and it was quite satisfying – generous fillings, fresh ingredients, and all for $13. But today? What an absolute travesty.
For a whopping $13, I received a pitiful excuse for a meal. One slice of ham. ONE. Is this a joke? Did the person making it forget how to count or simply decide I wasn't worth a proper sandwich? The difference in quality and quantity from one day to the next is inexcusable.
Consistency should be the bare minimum for a place charging premium prices. Instead, I feel swindled and insulted. If I wanted to be this disappointed and hungry after lunch, I could have stayed at home. To anyone considering buying a sandwich here – save your money and your sanity. This place clearly doesn't value its customers or their...
Read moreAs someone who has worked in food service before, I’m generally hesitant to write poor reviews based on service but my experience at the Georgetown Tatte on 3/22 at 12:30 warrants a review. I visited the restaurant in person on 3/21 to place an order for pickup for the next day for a work event. I arrived at 12:30 and saw the boxes of pastries were ready, and asked the manager about the box of coffee I was waiting on. He told me that they were preparing it for me. Ten minutes later, I asked again. He first told me to go to the barista area, then clarified that they had not started preparing the to go coffee box, which took another 20 minutes to prepare. It was 1:10 before I left, after waiting 40 minutes for a box of to-go coffee that I had ordered 24 hours in advance. The lunch rush is insane but please institute a better system for to-go orders, especially those placed...
Read moreThe food is okay but I was a little disappointed in my beverage option. I asked for one of the cold drinks and I asked without ice. I didn’t think anything of it because anywhere you go now a days you ask without ice and they still give you a full cup of the drink (excluding alcohol). Well at my last visit I asked for no ice because I was recovering from a cold but I wanted something refreshing and not hot. I was told that she could give me the drink without ice but it could only be a “certain amount”. Basically not the full drink. I was caught off guard because Tatte is a big company and I don’t think giving someone a full cup of one of their cold drinks without ice would affect them in anyway. I was upset and told her to just give it to me with ice. Even with ice, the drink wasn’t completely full. Besides that the customer...
