I’m not much for writing reviews, but in this case I felt like I had to…
I finally switched after years of being consistently overcharged with mediocre service. If you politely mention you want something a certain way or something corrected, they respond begrudgingly as they talk about you in their language to their peers.
FYI, just because a you’re speaking a different language doesn’t mean your tone doesn’t translate.
I kinda got into the habit of never really saying much out of politeness even if I wasn’t fully satisfied because I know it isn’t an easy job, and really didn’t want to be that person.
But the final straw was an incident that occurred the last time I was there, that involved an overcharged new set & design that was very poorly done and nothing like what was advertised….. I came back the next day after realizing I absolutely hated them.
I was expecting to be taken care of and given some kind of deal, discount or compensation… but instead was met by the technician & manager both being argumentative, highly unprofessional and disrespectful towards me… regardless of all those years of loyal business.
The way they handled this situation & poor service was horrendous, I have never been treated in such a way, not to mention insulting to say the least.
They only offered to fix the design on the ring fingers, and were trying to charge $25 for a new color or full price for a new set despite having already paid $71, not including 18% tip that was given.
Instead they teamed against me, denying to let me speak to the owner (who seems to care more about his customers than his employees) but he wasn’t present that day and they refused to let me talk to him. I even overheard one of the technicians in the back talking about me to the customer he was with and both laughing during the incident.
The owner finally reached out afterwards, only after the situation escalated and it was too late. The manager told me to take my business elsewhere so that’s exactly what I did.
Fortunately, I found a much better place near by with parking included, exceptional service, knowledgeable women who actually care about their customers, & all for more than 30% less than what I was paying...
Read moreOh my goodness, if you’re on the hunt for a nail salon that feels like a warm hug for your hands and feet, look no further than Casabella in Georgetown! After being totally bummed about the Herndon location closing (because, let’s be real, finding a nail tech that gets you is like winning the lottery), I decided to follow my fabulous nail tech, Marc, to the flagship location.
First things first—the traffic in Georgetown is no joke. It’s like a game of Frogger out there! So, give yourself plenty of time to navigate the chaos. But trust me, the journey is worth it! There’s on-street parking and garages nearby, so you won’t have to play hide-and-seek for a spot.
As soon as I walked into Casabella, I felt like I was in nail heaven. The place is spotless, beautifully laid out, and let’s not even get started on the nail polish selection. It’s like a candy store for adults! From classic reds to wild sparkles, they’ve got it all.
Now, the pedicure room? Pure bliss! It’s tucked away in the back, giving you that private spa vibe. Meanwhile, the manicure tables in the front are spaced out, so you can relax without feeling like you’re elbow-deep in someone else’s nail art.
I treated myself to a gel pedicure and a gel X fill yesterday, and let me tell you, my nails are looking so good that I might just start charging people to admire them! Plus, there’s a seven-day guarantee on the gel polish. Not that I’ve ever had a problem, but it’s nice to know they’ve got your back!
And shoutout to Marc—he’s a total rock star! My nails and toes look absolutely perfect, as always. I swear, he’s got magic hands!
So yes, Casabella might be a bit of a trek for me now, but every minute spent in traffic is worth it for such amazing service and a fantastic atmosphere. If you haven’t checked them out yet, do yourself a favor and make the trip. Your nails...
Read moreI really wanted to love this nail salon but unfortunately I don’t. Customer service is generally good and the place is beautiful. However I’ve now been 3 times and each time my nails don’t last. The first time I got a regular gel manicure and the tech was able to give me the exact design I wanted. I was very impressed only to have them chip on multiple nails within a few days. I knew they had the 7 day fix option but I couldn’t make it back with my schedule. I also tried to switch to dip powder after growing my nails out and they cracked beneath the surface within 2 days. On the third day multiple nails cracked completely breaking off several nails I’d been trying to let grow. This time I went back hoping for a fix, only to be rushed through the service even after making an appointment for the fix earlier in the day. 2 days after they were fixed the same thing happened again. The option to come back and get the nails redone is a great option but not if I have to go back 3 days after every service.
I’m extremely disappointed because it’s close to where I live, they have a great color selection, and some pretty talented nail artists who can do complex designs. But I will have to...
