Adding to my post below: Joe, at the Pro Desk in Wayne, came through again with another difficult order! 3 separate orders, on different days, needed to end up on 1 shipment, and it did! Prices, selection, and CUSTOMER SERVICE are outstanding. Joe is an excellent facilitator & communicator. He even checked in to make sure everything went OK at the end of the day -- when most would've already been clocked out! Five star service all the way!

I had a large project and if it were not for Joe at the pro desk in Wayne, this would've been my first and last project with Floor and Decor. Long story short, he came to my rescue time and time and time again. He deserves a promotion and a bonus! He gets 3 of my 4 stars!!! If you have time to read my story, I've jotted it here.
I ordered about 2000 ft.² of tile and had so much difficulty getting everything picked up or delivered. I went to three separate floor and decor's -- one in Elizabeth, one in Garden City, and this one in Wayne -- just to get one project complete. The website is excellent, as are their prices -- they beat everyone, and I mean everyone I have ever dealt with! But going to the store in person is a whole other level of crazy. I had asked one of the designers (at the Elizabeth store) for 10 minutes of her time to show me a CAD drawing of a couple of tiles I had put together there in the store just to make sure everything would look right. Unbelievably, she spent five minutes putting up the CAD drawing and then 20 minutes trying to justify her time in their computer system. When I asked her for the other five minutes of her time to show me the rest of the CAD drawing, she claimed she had to stop for lunch and had no time to show me the rest of it! Waited over two hours for them to go pick out everything that I had ordered the day before, with their website indicating that the tiles would be ready the day of - and an email to confirm it. Well next day came and still no tile when I went to physically pick up the tile! So I waited for them to wrap them to put into my truck. And for some reason, it was a holiday weekend, there were hardly any other customers around. Next was the pick up of a small portion of the tile at the Wayne store, because they were not available in Elizabeth. They quickly forklifted them into my pick-up truck - very efficient process - no complaints. I am not exactly sure how it happened but when I arrived to the worksite, half the tile were broken in half. It was amazing how easy it was to return the broken tile thanks to Joe and get a fresh batch. He facilitated that for me with just a brief phone call. Since the job site was in NY, I was able to accomplish that by taking a trip out to Garden City NY to pick up them up. Then back down to Elizabeth, to cancel my big order and place the order with Joe in Wayne, since there was a huge difference in customer service. And mind you I've been at this now for about three or four hours by this point. I'm leaving out a lot of the little details that were very annoying. In fact, I had to go back the next day, to finish up. But just wanted to mention that there is absolutely no one who cares anymore in any of these stores -- other than Joe. They will look you in the eye, knowing full well you need assistance, and quickly turn away to pretend to be working on their cell phones with something? Who knows what? Certainly not in helping their customers. It happened time and again otherwise I would not have mentioned it here. I personally had to help two elderly people get things off the top shelf. I guess this is the price we have to pay for great prices and a fantastic website, where you can find anything you can possibly imagine. They had a wonderful selection of tile, good quality, and everything was well labeled. And definitely go to Wayne and ask for Joe. Don't waste your time anywhere else. I know this now for my...
   Read moreWish I could give no stars. Most incompetent and rude staff I have ever encountered in my life. Arrived at floor and decor and the tile I wanted did not have pallet behind it I asked an employee if there was any in back he rushed by me rudely and said he had another customer that wanted it and they did not have any. Saw him again and asked if it could be ordered I was told no and that he saw -1000 pieces. I then asked him for customer service # as I saw it in stock online in their location was told there was no customer service number I could only call a port in Georgia??? Went online and retrieved customer service # and was on phone with rep while in store was told by rep on phone that the store should be able to order the tile and that he saw no stock shortage. Approached same associated to tell him what customer service was telling me ..he then said yeah I can order but I do not know how long it will take???? I replied I have customer service on line and they say 5-10 days... he basically ignored me and walked away. Found another associate who got a manager,, manager confirmed that they actually had this product in stock!!!! with enough for me and another customer. Got product and bothe the other customer and I asked for bullnose option ...manager told me to look around and her and another worker said they did not offer bullnose in the matte finish our tile was in anyway only polished finish. Found the section I needed as well as one piece of bull nose in matte finish showed associate who check and said that was the only piece they had and no other stores had it and it could not be ordered. I photographed 8 floor and decor employees standing around and behind a register not helping anyone. Also published pricing is deceiving pay a little more and go elsewhere this place is a joke. I had been researching and looking at floors for quite some time, trying to figure out what would work for my space and budget. Honestly, before meeting Rodney, my plan was to go with something inexpensive and quick just to get it done. But after talking with him, my perspective completely changed. He took the time to explain the difference that quality flooring makes, not in a pushy or âsalesyâ way, but in a way that really helped me see the long-term value. At no point did I feel pressured or like he was trying to upsell me. Instead, he guided me toward making a smarter investment for my home.
Now that the floors are installed, I can truly say the difference is night and day. The space feels completely transformedâeveryone who visits comments on how great it looks and how different the room feels. It has elevated the whole environment, and that upgrade wouldnât have been possible without Rodneyâs knowledge, guidance, and support throughout the process.
On top of that, the logistics were made incredibly easy because of him. When it came time for me to pick up the planks, Rodney had already arranged everything and was literally waiting for me at the door. The coordination was seamless, the process was painless, and I never once felt stressed.
I canât thank Rodney enough for all of his help. His professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care made all the difference.
