Had a great but weird experience today at your store. Yena was nice enough to let me exchange some shirts I purchased. I decided to go back upstairs to get a couple more ties for my collection. As I went up the escalater, I saw two little kids playing by the escalator without supervision from their parents. I immediately saw how dangerous it was because they were playing chicken with the rubberized hand holding strip. A brother and what was possibly his sister kept doing this repeatedly and this happen in the time it took me to get up the escalator to the second floor.
His sister decided to do the same thing and she lost control!!!!! she was holding on to the rubberized arm and it started to pull her down, she was about to fall and get her blond locks caught in the metal platform which would have been a complete disaster not just for the parents but for Nordstrom getting blamed and sued for the incident. As she lost control and started to fall, she realized she lost control and started to tear up and cry, I immediately grabbed on to the arm of the little girl before she could fall any further. I used the upward mobility of the escalator steps while I held to the two year old and manhandled her back onto the platform where she was safe.
The father was no where to be found until I had control of the little girl. I called out to be careful and called for someone did the father showed up. I don't know what this guy was on but he was so blase' about the whole thing it completely freaked me out. All he said to both children was to be careful and not to leave his site!!!! he told the little girl to say thank you like this was a great teaching moment for him. The little beauty said thank you the best way she could in her 2year old voice and they left.
I just shook my head in wonderment at the catastrophy that could have happened today and News Six appearing to cover this tragedy that could have been avoided. Fortunately no one was hurt and the Nordstrom sales reps on the 2nd floor were busy helping out other customers so they would have never seen this in time.
Parents please be careful and watch your kids, this could have been a very, very, very, bad day for...
Read moreI used to LOVE this store. Yesterday I needed to return a pair of Spanx jeans that my aunt bought for me. I love Spanx and have the flare leg pants in black, size L. They fit perfect but watch out for the jeans. They are cut different. But I digress. Anyway, my aunt said she got them at Nordstrom but couldn’t find the receipt. I took them to Nordstrom rack to return them. They looked up my aunt by her phone number but did not find record of her buying the jeans. My aunt is 89. Who knows what phone # she has connected to her Nordstrom acct?. She’s had many phone #’s. She’s almost 90! The jeans had all the tags. The cashier scanned the tags and called a manager. The manager told me to choose a gift card. Then says, $147? That’s too much money. I can’t give you that much. I’m like, wait what? She continues to say that’s too much money. So I ask is there a limit on the amount when you don’t have a receipt? What’s the limit? She says “I’d say about $100.” What? “You’d say??” So you just randomly decided this right at this moment? She says “No. it’s not random. I just can’t give you that much money.” So she doesn’t want to give ME a black woman $147?? Is that it? It’s going on a gift card. It’s not like it’s her money coming out of her own pocket. Or, I could see if they didn’t have enough cash on hand, but it’s going onto a Gift Card! And there’s NO store policy that says she can’t put a return over $100 on a gift card???
I felt this was racist. I felt angry.
I left before I said something I’d regret. I went to Nordstrom in the mall and returned the jeans with no racist undertones. Got my $147 on a gift card, thanked...
Read moreHORRIBLE SERVICE AT THIS LOCATION. Very disappointed with the employees and management.i went to return an item with the original receipt and they had told me my item had already been returned? When i explained that their was some kind of mistake because this was the only wallet i bought and the receipt was right there with it, the girl had asked if i bought another wallet, insinuating that i was trying to scam? The manager came over and said i couldn’t be refunded on my original payment and that i can only get a store gift card. How about you teach your employees how to properly make returns and knowledge them in all aspects of the computer and not just how to ring things up. The girl that had originally rang me up when i first purchased the item, had a HUGE problem with giving me a gift receipt for all the items because she was completely clueless how to do that and had to have multiple people help her out. I believe that the girl who originally rang me out for these orders didn’t properly give me a gift receipt but basically returned everything, accidentally and now i am unable to be refunded my original amount. Teach your employees how to PROPERLY use the computer or else it’s customers pay for...
