Normally, I love shopping at Michael's ;). I have the choice of shopping online w/the choice of having my order delivered to my home or I simply pickup my order up at the Michael's store, I selected (any in the any I'm at that time 😉). However, with my last shoppjng trip, everything went crazy. I ordered online and prepaid, but when I went to Michael's to pickup my purchase, they couldn't find my order. (Strange, isn't it..).. I recieved their confirmation email indicating my order was ready!! Finally, I discovered after asking a few questions, my local Michael's store system had gone down, so they were unable to retrieve the online orders to fill them. What I didn't understand, was why didn't they simply apologize and ask me to come back tomorrow. I would have been fine with that. In fact, it would have been more "Customer Friendly" for Michael's to proactively reach out to their Customers and explain they had a system issue and their online purchases will be ready for pickup tomorrow. They apologize for for any inconvenience and they look forward to seeing them soon. At least then the customers would be making any unnecessary trips out to the store and I believe most Customers, I would Greatly appreciate receiving this information. Why wouldn't Michael's or any other retail store which offers online pickup, want to offer this type of Great Customer Service?? Especially if they want to keep their Customers... The manager canceled my order in error, which I received early the next morning. I couldn't understand why my order had been canceled, so I called the Corporate number that is listed online. I inquired about my cancel order and explained what happened. The CSR shared, I must do the entire online purchase again and if I needed any assistance, she would be happy to help. I did it all again and the second time was my lucky charm. Everything worked as it should have the first time :). Maybe I'll ship to my home...
Read moreAs always the selection is phenomenal and the coupons are great. The two stars are for the customer service, I would give one except the girl working the register was so nice and apologetic of her lack of knowledge of the coupons. Which hlis not her fault, she was not properly informed and when she asked a question over the walkie she didn't get a response for almost 5 minutes and she apologized for that! There was a large poster and several smaller ones posted throughout advertising a free candle with $40 purchase, when I asked about it another girl got on her walkie saying to bring some to the registers, the manager walked up talking on her walkie saying to get the posters down because they are out. She did not address anyone who was waiting, someone asked and she simply said 'no, we're out'. Then promptly went back to ignoring all others who were waiting. I could only hope for better customer service, but we all know and so does Michael's that we will go back to the store so customer service must not be important when there is a profit to be made. However there is always...
Read moreThis Michaels store seems to be having some issues as of late. The first thing that is apparent is the lack of product. Numerous shelves, pegs and gondolas were bare. I can only assume a product shortage is taking place or this location is having a problem hiring staff to refill the floor. There was one team member sleeping at the front of the store. Yes, you heard me correctly a team member was sitting at a craft table and sleeping. To further add to a less than satisfactory image and experience we asked the team member a question about a product in the store, the answer was not what was expected. The team member stated they didn't know where the product was or if they had it and then directed us to a competitor. Not sure this is the image or advice the...
