This is to bring to your attention an unpleasant experience I had at your Office Depot store recently. I regularly visit your store to fulfill my business' copy needs and have been a loyal customer for some time now.
During my last visit, I requested assistance for making copies from one of your staff members. While the young lady initially helped me with thicker paper, I encountered issues when I requested to have three pages laminated. Despite there being no other customers in line and both the young lady and another staff member at the cash register being idle, I was informed that I would have to wait 24 to 40 hours for the lamination process to be completed.
I was taken aback by this response, especially considering that during a previous visit last week, a different staff member promptly assisted me with a similar request to laminate ten pages. When I requested to speak to a manager, I was informed that the machine was not operational, although the same machine had been used for my previous request the week before.
Despite attempting to reason with both the young lady and the manager, they adamantly refused to laminate my three papers and suggested that I return the next day without any guarantee of timely service. The lack of customer service and communication displayed during this encounter left me feeling frustrated and undervalued as a customer.
I trust that this issue will be addressed promptly to ensure that such incidents do not recur in the future. I value the convenience and quality of service that your store has provided me in the past and hope to continue our positive business relationship.
Thank you for your attention to this matter, and I look forward to a swift resolution.

Read moreVisited the Jordan Landing store around 10:30am in the middle of the work week. I was looking for help in printing labels and business cards. Having no experience in this area nor any knowledge of how to go about printing or ordering, I was expecting to speak to a specialist. When I walked up to the counter there was sign that specifically said Office Max would no longer be assisting customers in person. All printing orders would need to be submitted online. There was a worker at the counter who asked if I needed assistance. I explained my dilemma and she simply repeated what the sign on the counter said. So I proceeded to ask if there were customer service agents available online through a chat feature to help me figure out what I actually needed. She said no. Decided I'd try the website. Standing at the counter I went to the website and selected printing options etc. The page wouldn't populate and kept timing out. I wasn't able to get through the first step without problems. After about 20 minutes I decided I wasn't going to waste anymore time. Clearly Office Max doesn't focus attention on printing projects and personal orders. It's difficult for people like me, with zero knowledge to place an order and customer service was pretty much non-existent.
I went to my car and called Fed-Ex Office (just down the street). They had my order printed within 15 minutes. Should have gone there first.
Don't waste your time at this Office Max. Go somewhere else if you...
Read moreI'm giving one star, but they only get that because the order was eventually right. First complaint, I ordered a small print job and by the time I got home I had received two text advertisements for MORE junk from Office Max. NOTE!! My phone is for my convenience and I don't enjoy paying for the convenience of others to trash my text messages with offers that I don't want or need. Second complaint: When I ordered the print job I was told that it would be ready this morning. I didn't want to drive that far if it wasn't ready, so I called first. The phone system is a joke. I suppose I'm required to understand the way the store is organized to know if I can talk to someone. I just wanted to ask if my order was ready, instead I was offered multiple options, all of which seemed irrelevant to finding out if my order was ready. I pressed "O" since so many phone systems put you in contact with a real person, but no, that just starts the message again. Since my order wasn't ready I asked to speak to the manager who evidently didn't think my complaints were valid and diminished everything that I said. My advice, don't give a phone number or e-mail address, and if you insist on purchasing a print job from Office Max, ask for a direct phone number. I won't be going there again so it's...
