We have enjoyed Spitz for years! They serve great Greek-American fusion and this place is it's own vibe.
I have a lot of favorites here including the Street Cart Döner, Döner Salad, and Street Cart Fries (all with beef/lamb and regular fries).
The best, though, is the Döner Basket (also with beef/lamb and regular fries) and I ask for a side of their fry sauce because it's just too good. It has a little bit of all my other favorite dishes and it's a lot of food. It's perfect amount for two people, and unfortunately, it's not great leftover. With a Döner Basket and two fountain drinks, you have a great dinner for about $12 per person.
And we discovered that we get more food when we dine in versus takeout, especially with the Street Cart Fries. They also have tasty fruit infused water when you dine in and a few cocktails and beers to choose from.
I love the ambience too: the lighting, all the colors, the funky decor, and the music is always good whether they play classic rock, electric swing or whatever. They don't play obnoxious pop songs.
It's such a fun place to hang out too, not just for dining. Every location has games like Yahtzee, Connect Four, Battleship, etc. Also, each table has a deck of cards, though they aren't complete decks. This location also has a chalk wall in the hall leading to the restrooms, and they sometimes have coloring pages. I enjoyed eating alone while coloring just the other night.
The staff is always friendly and the restaurant and bathrooms are kept very clean.
It's a super family friendly place but also fun for all ages. Spitz is one of the few chain restaurants that I truly love and...
Read moreI didn't know what to expect, but when I was visiting Jordan Landing recently, and not in the mood for greasy fast food, I turned to Spitz. It took me a little bit to get familiar with the menu and decide what I wanted. But eventually, I took a chance and selected the Remix Bowl with chicken. I ordered it to go so I could sit outside on the grass and listen to my son play in the band outside.
Service was friendly and quick. I only waited five or so minutes after placing my order and getting it handed to me in a big brown bag. Utensils were included, and I noticed that the straw was an environmentally friendly version of the traditional plastic kind. Nice!
When I got situated and pulled my meal out of the bag, I quickly realized that I had underestimated this place. There was a ton of goodness jam packed in this bowl. Quinoa, tomatoes, cucumbers, garbanzo beans, and so much more. The chicken was presented in a unique way-it looked like shaved pieces spread over the top of the salad. Interesting presentation and great taste!
I look forward to returning and trying more on the menu. I would love to see them expand their soda options to some more healthy choices to match their menu. Flavored water or seltzer would be...
Read moreSecond and final update… i’m officially done with this location. You should really pay attention to detail and you make these items enough that you know what comes with it, right? At this point, it’s a waste of my time, gas, money that I’m just going to find another restaurant to go to. You have officially lost my business!
*UPDATE I don’t understand why this place has a vegan menu if they don’t make the meal the way it’s ordered. Thanks to them. I’m out of money again for being stupid enough to give them another try and I can’t eat it because I’m allergic to dairy and they put feta on my vegan bowl!!
So because you guys are 20 minutes to closing, you’re going to give me scraps one falafel ball still charging me full price and don’t put fries in the VEGAN GYRO. More than likely because somebody just didn’t want to make fries that close to closing and I apologize for coming that close to closing, but I’m very limited with what I can eat. I’d rather you have told me than waste my money. The fact that my fiancé even tipped you because you were so kind to get the order done only to find out that you gypped us and didn’t even do the order correctly. I’ll be calling corporate. We will be getting...
