I want to give 5 stars but a employee (Brett) was just so inappropriate I must be true to myself: I was excited entering the store because it felt so welcoming and it was my first time brining my daughter to a book place. We browsed for fun activity games and books safe for kid. There is a cafe and well worn benches to sit and read Iām guessing. The customers were diverse the day I visited all good people tall short jewish Asian all type. Although I had a strange and disappointing encounter with someone said to be the manager (Brett), I will revisit. Maybe he will have received some training or move on to another job cause he aināt it. He was hovering around me and invading my personal space saying he was doing his job. I eventually moved to a less private area because I felt uncomfortable. Lucky my daughter was busy playing in the kids past. Another customer approached me and told me she saw and heard everything. She said she wanted to make sure I was okay. I truly appreciated it she was so warm to me and nice to meet. She then reported him to a kind woman with long hair working nearby. I also spoke with her. Another employee (Joel) was super kind and helpful too. Itās not what I expect from Barnes and Noble but since the pandemic, thereās a mixed bag of nuts out there. Good parking and a nice little local spot....

Huge parking lot, The fabulous Cafe, bargain books, magazines, Audiobooks, toys, comfy chairs , great childrenās section. šÆšÆfor YEARS. Loved by all. Covid came, finally reopened, only to show up and be told closing for good that day! and reopening in downtown Westport. Okay I get it you must survive HOWEVER.... finally got there today.. NO parking( few spots on street, otherwise fight for parking in lot some blocks behind. No cafe, no audiobooks, no more bargain table. AWFUL.All that made it a gathering place?...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDefinitely a small scale store but nonetheless itās very spacious inside the store with plenty of genres/categories to choose from. It sort of looks small from the outside till you go inside the store. Bookstores are a dying market but itās great to know there are still some around Fairfield county.
Itās along a main road so parking is limited depending on what time you go. Itās definitely a nice spot to grab a new book for your home library or even in general.
I will definitely be making another trip there in the future if Iām ever in the area or even need a new...
