Not sure how people even give this gym good reviews…. This gym is beyond RIGGED! I have been a gym member since 2023 when it braley opened. I had signed up for personal training twice a week + the gym membership. If you ask me, getting personal training wasn’t worth it. When I signed up, I specifically said I was more comfortable with a girl trainer but instead they switched me over to a guy. Training was like only for 15-20mins then would cut me loose for him to move on to the next person. Money in the trash if you ask me! At the end of 2022, I got really sick and couldn’t go to my sessions anymore. I had completed my four month term of training as said in the contract. But till this day, I’m still being charged for it. $128 twice a week so that’s $252 each month aside from the membership. Within the whole year that’s like 3k !!! I have done MY PART to reach out to EOS fitness about cancelling my membership and personal training many times and all front desk staff have been telling me you have to talk to the personal training manager, there’s not in today , you have to fill out a form online and don’t got to come in the gym to cancel, they will reach out to you within 72 hrs after filling out the form. You need to send a letter to the corporate office that you want to cancel. Send an email to district manager. Let me tell you, I already did my part but EOS has done NOTHINGGGGG on there end !!! Lazy , useful , careless employees if you ask me. But to get there paycheck every week and steal peoples money … right there they don’t forget at all right ????!!!!!! At this point I’m pissed off and will file for a lawsuit ! Tired of their dilly dallying around with their nonsense. EOS is just after...
Read more5 stars for more equipment than my previous chain gym. I think this enables this fitness center to accommodate all ages much better.
Minus all stars for the employee responsible for my new member assessment, MONIQUE.
She phoned me day-before to confirm my 11am new member assessment, that was the only courteous, businesslike and professional moment with her.
When my 11am appointment time came, she allowed someone else to take my appointment slot. I stood where she could see me, but she didn't come over to explain anything, like "Apologies for the delay, I'll be with you in 3 minutes" OR "I'll have my co-worker warm you up, then I'll see you in 10 minutes." No basetouching from her well past our appointment time.
When her co-worker came to me at 11:15am, she did not introduce him to me or what he was going to do before her appointment with me.
The co-worker did not do a thorough free new member assessment as MONIQUE was supposed to do, but did introduce me to some stretching and strengthening exercises. He did an excellent job staying focused on me and doing progressive challenges, instead of checking on when she was going to show up.
When finished with the person that she allowed to occupy my appointment time, she came to me all smiles, no apologies, "How did it go?" I should have insisted on the new customer assessment from her, but I was made to feel unimportant and had lost all confidence in her.
A gym can have great equipment, but it's the employees who show that they care about your well being.
This gym might be for you if you avoid MONIQUE signing you up or as your...
Read moreAs mentioned by other members and/or former members, I too was bamboozled. The sales people prior to the gym opening promised many things in order to make a sale. I opened up my credit card statement and to my shock, found chargers for 4 annual fees, which included the monthly membership. As you can imagine, that was over $500 that I did not anticipate paying because I was told there would be no annual fee. I, unfortunately, signed up for personal training when I signed up myself and family members for the gym after falling for the sales pitch and wanted to get out of personal training given the insane amount I had paid for the annual fees. I spoke with the gal at the front desk who couldn't help me, so I decided to cancel two memberships on my account. I was about to cancel my own membership, but after being directed to the fitness manager, I was told that I was under contract for four months and needed to basically pay the gym for the personal training I had signed up for. I told her that I was not going to pay them due to their breach of contract but was told that I would be sent to collections. So now, despite my thinking that I was saving money coming to this gym, I am spending over $500 on personal training, aside from the ridiculous annual fee. And yes, this gym is nice because it's new and all. However, as others have mentioned, the pool isn't open and some equipment doesn't work. The gym is also always busy especially in the evenings during the week, not to mention that parking is atrocious. I would not recommend this gym unless they get their business...
