AMC Sikes Senter 10 — Attraction in Wichita Falls

I have very few bad-rating reviews that I leave places, but this place does need addressed. I’ll rate the events as they happened.

-Theatre presentation: 1/5, looks really dark and scary as you walk up, I actually thought it was closed but found an employee at the counter as I walked around the corner. -Main lobby staff upon entry: 1/5, I walked in, wasn’t greeted, and I asked since I bought the ticket online do I check in with him or do I go somewhere else. No response, he just started typing and then grabbed a scanner which I then took to understand he wanted to scan my phone, and then he gave me a printed ticket and said “theatre seven”. -Cleanliness: 1-2/5, due to the darkness of the main lobby and walkways I could not tell how actually dirty everything looked, but ultimately I was grossed out by what I could see. -theatre room: 2/5, I walked in and was met with the smell of what I could describe as feces and lots of it. I held my breathe in the room for a while and the smell did lessen but it never did fully subside during the whole movie. I kept my nose in my shirt to try and avoid the smell. The only reason it isn’t a 1 is because the chairs are pretty cool since they can lean all the way back and have a warming feature. -Movie quality: 2/5, the quality was pretty bad. I was surprised how many times something was either out of focus or just seemed poor quality due to a bad/outdated projection system. -Sound: 3/5, it was clear but definitely pretty flat. No booming bass or well tuned sound system, just speakers that conveyed the noises unimpressively. -Main lobby staff upon leaving: 5/5, these two gentlemen that were in the main lobby as I left did a great job of recognizing my presence and saying thank you and to have a goodnight.

My experience definitely made it very clear why I didn’t see any other patrons in this theatre. It’s a weekend with great movies out and I was the only one in sight. I would say if I have to choose between coming here and waiting a couple months (or maybe weeks, depending) to stream at home, I’ll just stay home. I’m normally one to say go out and help your local economy by being a part of it, but if this is what you’re going out to, its not worth...

It is not possible to put a zero star on google reviews. That is unfortunate because a zero is the only deserving rating for Sikes Senter Theatre.

This establishment is an embarrassment to our community. We had boycotted the Sikes Senter Theatre for over twenty years until we ventured back in to see a movie.not showing elsewhere. We were hoping for some redemption having been gone for so long

We were thoroughly disgusted by the condition of the place, by the lack of care the people working there had for us patron's and the smell of garbage.

I don't understand how a business, in the center of retail and shopping in Wichita Falls, is capable of such poor quality and service and remains in business for as long as it has. I know I am not the only one who feels this way. Many of us Wichitan's haven't been to this theatre in decades and rightly so. The lack of any 4 and 5 star reviews proves my claim.

I'm disappointed at what I experienced going back after so many years away. I am embarrassed that this represents Wichita Falls in the center of commerce. I can honestly say there won't be...

Can't put zero stars or I would have. Went to see Solo: A Star Wars Story. I show up, pay $14 a ticket for the 3D showing, and go to get a drink. They don't have a soda machine, so I end up buying a $4 bottle of Coke. We go into the theater, which was a flat room with old seats and a tiny screen. Already not worth $14/ticket. The previews play and the movie starts. The projector is out of focus, badly, and it's definitely not in 3D. I go say something to an employee, who tells me they're working on it. 5 minutes into the movie, they stop it and the manager comes in and tells us that the 3D projector isn't working so they're just gonna show it in 2D and everybody is going to get a readmit pass (voucher for a free ticket) on their way out. So they restart the movie. IT'S STILL OUT OF FOCUS. 5 minutes go by, and they haven't fixed it. I just got up and left. I don't plan on coming back for a while.
