This mall is the worst mall we've been in. It use to be good but apparently it's gone to shat. We have a service dog and apparently they have an issue with it. Because our dog showed their dog up. Your dog should NOT be whimpering at my service dog, your dog should do like our dog did, noticed they were there and went on about their days. But nope. Their dog whined the whole time we were anywhere near them. We hadn't seen any security until we saw him, then everytime we turned around, he was right in front of us, standing there waiting. Every single time, right where we were about to walk through every single time. We are from Oregon, it's been a long trip which has messed with our dog and he accidentally pooped in the mall. Because the floor is carpet, we couldn't clean it up completely and had to have someone clean up the rest. We apologized multiple times and told them that we really appreciate them, sorry again. We go down to the food court, and he ends up down there with us and harassing my husband about our SERVICE DOG. (Further proof he was following us, how else could he have known we were where we were in that whole mall.) He said "normally we don't appreciate dogs in here but I see he's a service dog, we are usually pretty soft about that." From the moment he saw us, he was following us. We were all trying to get food but he made us feel uncomfortable and like we weren't wanted in there so I didn't get a chance to get food. People can puke all over, but God forbid your dog accidentally poop cuz he's been couped up in a car for days. I'm sorry y'all are jealous our dog is better trained then yours, I bet he poops in there all the time. He ain't trained to ignore other dogs, I doubt he's very well trained. They are absolutely not dog friendly at all. Period. Can't wait to go home where people aren't rude about dogs and understand things happen sometimes. In the 5 years we've had him, this was the first time he had pooped in a building since the first day we got him. (When his training began) Maybe, train your dog better and you won't have to get showed up by another dog with someone that ACTUALLY trained their dog. 🤷🤷 Thank god we didn't have my service dog as well (she needs to be retired so she doesn't go on long trips anymore) we probably would have been told to get out with the attitude...
Read moreTES is the oldest and truly only indoor shopping adventure left in Wichita. The Simon Co. continues to put in all efforts to keep the mall updated with retail and decor. Christmas is always a great time at Towne East. The hustle and bustle of shoppers, kids visiting Santa with their present request, and lines in the food court. Black Friday was a typical mall day. Bath/Body Works had a long line due to their awesome sale. The employees controlled the crowds very well with help of mall security. The newest diamond in the mall is Scheel's. It is an all-in sports adventure. You have to go in order to truly enjoy the experience. Sporting goods, athletic attire, soda, and candy shop, "Oh My". After Scheel's, you and the kids might need to decompress. Thank goodness for the play area. You can take a load off and let the kids work off the sugar. Towne East has your usual flagship stores, Dillard's, JCP, and Von Maur. Some of your other stores are basic mall retailers. H&M, Victoria's Secret, American Eagle, Spencer's, Hot Topic, Coach, Build-A-Bear, etc. My only con about TE is the food court. It is not the best. There aren't as many options you come to expect in a mall. When the Auntie Anne 's pretzel shop has the longest line, what does that say. Of course their pretzel dogs are so good. What better time to enjoy Towne East than now. The mall is always beautifully decorated, and the Christmas spirit is in the air....
Read moreTowne East has it's good places and not as good places. There are plenty of stores in a small area, which is great! Some stores are bigger chains that you expect to see in malls, others are smaller are more unique. The mall has a Santa photo center during the holiday season and a (pretty creepy) Easter Bunny photo center during that season. The food court is somewhat limited and small. The mall features several jewelry store, a couple different shoe and athletic wear stores, and a lot of clothing stores. It also has a Build-A-Bear workshop, a Starbucks stand, an optics center (I think it's a Lenscrafters), a college (or technical school) office, and a military recruitment office. There's basically a little bit of everything. The mall extends their hours during the holiday season to accommodate extra traffic. There is generally ample parking, but we aware in the parking lot as some people don't seem to understand the general rules of the road and will cut right in front of you. Also, beware of the people in the center kiosks selling things, they can get pretty aggressive trying to get you to stop and buy their hand lotions, purses, or cell phone cases. Overall, a great mall, far superior to the...
