Good day to you. I am quite familiar with Bob's Furniture. Over a year ago, I purchased an entire living room set from Bob's Furniture. In there store, this set looked appealing. I examined the furniture for durability and for ergonomically stability. For medical reasons I required all my sitting furnishings to meet these requirements. I looked over the fabric and inquired to the sales representative what type of material was this fabric, was it blended with another fabric, is it stain resistant and what if any feedback they might have on this furniture set. After numerous hours and visiting different Bob's Furniture stores, I decided on purchasing this particular set. The furniture set that arrived to my home did not have the same attributes of the one in the showroom at Bob's Furniture. (What I later learned is that what appears in the showroom at this store, is not necessarily what the customer will receive from there warehouse or wherever this furniture is built). This is a common practice by many storefronts. After numerous phone calls with supervisors and having to return my furniture set two times back to Bob's Furniture, I decided to just cut my losses. Let me outlined the negative findings of the furniture set that was delivered to my home. The fabric, the stuffing, and the wood of this furniture set was of a significantly lesser quality. This furniture lack firmness and support for my spine. The hardware (nails, screws) holding up the fabric in the back of the loveseat and couch were protruding through the fabric. Two of my Sons were injured by these nails. I did not check the wood of the furniture in the store as most shoppers do not. However, I noticed that the wood was not up to par for the furniture that it was to support. Here is my suggestion when looking to purchase any sort of furniture. No you do not have to go by my suggestions and feedback. It's totally up to you. This is what I do always going forward. . Firstly, ask the sales representative what type of wood was used for the furniture. Preferably, hardwoods such as oak, birch, maple, mahogany, and African Blackwood are sensible superior options for high quality furniture. Less dense and resistance to wear and tear. They do not rot or have any type of decay. Especially if you want longevity as one should want for there furniture. If the wood is from softwood (the cedar, redwood and pine woods of the world) or engineered (the plywood or lumber woods of t.he world) it is likely that your furniture set will not last for more than two years if that. Secondly, the fabric should be tough and durable to stains. (I have active, creative children). Inquire to the sales representative about the thread count which is extremely important. The higher the thread count the higher the quality of the fabric. (If you like, research fabric with high thread counts qualities). Also look for good stain resistant protector for your furniture. Ascertain that the furniture has this protection. Lastly for my suggestion for you, is the stuffing (filling) of the sitting and backing of your furniture. Fibre, Down and feathers stuffing if you like to sink deep into your furniture. Foam and Polyurethane are recommended if you need firmness like I prefer. If you get your furniture and it s All that is outlined is for your information. What it boils down to is the customer's preference. Whatever that preference is, is what the seller is suppose to honor. I am beyond tired of false advertising. I am tired of microscopic fine print. I am tired of individuals that promote and sale products that they have no knowledge on or experience in that field of work. That's what basically wrong today and why customers are constantly replacing merchandise to the stores. It is a job to look for anything worth buying today that offers quality, quantity and longevity. Thank you if you took time to read my lengthy review. I appreciate it and perhaps you can offer a shorter paraphrase version of this review to your family and acquaintances. Also, please read those lengthy lawyer...
Read moreI am writing to express my deep frustration and disappointment with the recent delivery experience I had with your company. As a loyal customer who has always trusted Bob's Furniture for quality products and service, I am truly disheartened by the events that unfolded during my most recent purchase.
On 9/14/2023, I eagerly awaited the delivery of my furniture, especially as I am currently six months pregnant and was counting on having our new furniture ready before the baby arrives. Unfortunately, the experience was nothing short of a nightmare.
The delivery team that arrived faced a language barrier that made effective communication nearly impossible. Instead of attempting to find a solution or seeking clarification, they left my front door wide open, exposing my home and belongings to potential risks. To make matters worse, one of the items needed to be moved to accommodate the new furniture, but instead of communicating this to me, they abruptly left the premises.
I reached out to your company immediately to seek assistance and understanding in this difficult situation. However, to my dismay, no one from your team has shown any empathy or willingness to address the gravity of the situation. I was specifically promised by Mr. Jonathan Perez that a resolution would be provided, including a new delivery date for the furniture, set for the following Friday. Disappointingly, this commitment was not honored.
This entire experience has been overwhelming and deeply upsetting, primarily due to the poor customer service I have received throughout. As a pregnant woman who should be focusing on preparing for the arrival of my child, I find myself dealing with unnecessary stress and anxiety caused by this incident.
I implore you to take immediate action to rectify this situation. I am not only seeking the delivery of my furniture but also a sincere apology for the mishandling of my case, the lack of empathy displayed by your team, and the emotional distress that has resulted from this ordeal.
I trust that Bob's Furniture values its customers and their satisfaction, and I hope that you will take the necessary steps to regain my trust and ensure that no other customer has to endure such a...
Read moreI recently purchased a table and 8 chair dining set from one of your stores. I bought this table for approximately $2,000 which I consider a substantial price for a table. Within a month of owning it, the top layer of the table was chipping off. This was clearly not a table worth $2,000, it was cheaply made to be ruined in a month of use.
So I reached out to have the tabletop replaced. They said that this table would be covered in a protective coating so that wouldn't happen again. I don't know why the first table I was given was of a poorer quality in the first place. That was upsetting. So they came to replace the table top but did not have a new leaf to go with it with the protective coating on it.
So I reached out to the Customer Service chat again, telling them I did not receive the leaf. It was an awful back and forth where the person kept telling me I had to have the whole table replaced AGAIN just to get this leaf. Even though it should have come with the new table top. This back and forth went on for a while with them telling me over and over I had to replace the whole table even though it was your error for not giving me the new leaf in the first place. I was asked "is the old leaf damaged?", it was not, but it obviously will be since it does not have the new protective coating on it. Eventually the solution was that the delivery drivers would come to my house with the new table top and leaf and I would have to personally explain to them that I only needed the leaf.
The whole thing was a giant headache. And now I'm noticing the same chipping on the chairs and I know I'll have to go through the same process again. And I'm guessing they'll only replace the chairs that have the chips - even though NONE of these chairs have whatever this protective coating is that is now on the table. Why wasn't it on all the products in the first place?
I thought the table was beautiful when I saw it at the store and I considered buying a sectional couch from Bob's as well. Now I can't imagine myself going back or recommending the...
