Panera Bread — Restaurant in Wilkes-Barre Township

I was traveling North from out of town I needed to stop at Lowe's for us to get a part for our trailer and while he did that I said I said i will go to Panerafor us. I do not like to leave bad reviews for a place if I am not a regular there but I must warn you to the following review. Unfortunately the stores in this shopping area were not connected to the next plaza so I needed to leave the parking lot which led me to across the street instead of next door because because of the way that it's set up in GPS gets too confused that close together then once I got in there you cannot read the signs from where you stand in line because the sign above the person is just pictures of food The actual menu 5 blocks down from the cashier why I do not know or understand! So it was very difficult to see what was available instead allowing me to be ready when it was my turn to order, I was given a empty cup, I had to ask "where do I go to fill this?" since she assumed I stop there regularly! Then the wait at the pickup counter was empty So I assume my wait time would be short but unfortunately the drive-through gets priority over the people that took the time in the energy to actually walk inside the store and then I had to stand there and wait much longer than needed with 5 employees in prep area because the employees were talking and talking and talking to each other with my bag in their hand! How unnecessarily frustrating! The cinnamon cruch bagel only had one spot of crunch even on it and the employee put incorrect name on order. The place had one good thing for it...

I am so disappointed with the “new” Panera. Before the old one was destroyed by a tornado a few years ago, my family and I would go there like 2-3 times a week. Then when it was destroyed, we started going to the Moosic location maybe 3-4 a year because although it was the closest but yet, it was far away. When Panera was finally rebuilt, I was so ecstatic and was looking forward to start going back to this Wilkes Barre’s location. We went during the 1st week it opened and we ordered a good amount of things. However, the croutons wasn’t crunchy but stale, the lettuce (salad) were soggy and brown, the cucumber weren’t fresh, and I always orders extra chicken with my Caesar salad- there were hardly any chicken, and the Pepperoni pizza was cold and didn’t have the extra pepperoni that I paid for. So, my husband and I figured that maybe they’re trying to get adjusted and training ppl so maybe we should come back like in a month or two and everything will be great by then. Two months later which was two days ago. I ordered my usual and once again stale croutons and non-fresh cucumbers. The chicken noodle soup was mostly liquid- it hardly didn’t have any noodles and chicken. I am so disappointed and may have to accept the fact that this Panera is never going to be the same like the old one nor get any better. I guess I’ll be going back to the Moosic...

Okay so today we ordered from Panera Bread in Wilkes-Barre. Let me first start off my saying we (me and my co-workers) called at 11:30am to have a pick up at 12pm. They said "Oh 20 to 25 mintues and the order will be ready". So I went to pick it up and got there at 12:08pm figuring it would be ready, but guess what it wasn't as a matter of fact they gave my order to someone else by mistake!!!! So then I had to wait for them to remake the order, which they did and they took $10 off, which was fine. So once I got back to work and seperated the food between everyone and we realized that our sides were missing, so no apples, no bread, no chips!!!! So I called back and the lady had the nerve to ask me if I was a regular, as if it mattered! So the woman on the phone told us we could come back and get the missing items, but at that time our lunches were over! She told me that since they already gave us a discount that should be good enough, I told her the discount was because of their first mistake not this new one! So they said next time we order they will put all of the missing items in the bag! Which I mean at this point do i really want to order from them??? I think NOT!!!!
