What Horrible service . I decided to stop in for the first time to Duck Donuts in Wilkes-Barre , Pa , this evening .. I parked right in front of the store . I went in and ordered a glazed donut . As I am waiting for my order , I stepped aside and was on a phone call . The place was getting pretty busy . All of a sudden I hear one of the employees yell something out , I didn’t pay much attention since I was on the phone away from the counter . I began to notice these two employees keep on looking at me and giving me the hard stare and back to talk . I had no idea what they were talking about , when all of a sudden this crazy employee yells out “ Would the owner of the car parked outside turn off your lights, the lights are not letting us see in here and bothering our eyes. When I noticed they were looking at me , I put my phone aside and asked that the problem was , . I told her there is a way to ask a customer , she could of called me over and asked politely if that was my vechile if I could turn the lights off .. I would have done it with no problem .. but before she gave me. Chance to speak .. she began pacing up and down the aisle , saying out loud. That she was going to not give me my order and refund me my money . I asked her why ? She said Because your not going outside to turn your lights off . So I am going to refund you your order . She began to open the register and instead I asked for the manager . And what surprise . She was the manager .. Her name was Emily at the Wilkesbarre township plaza .. I decided to let her keep my refund. This woman went max .. yelling with all those customers there .. what an embarrassment to have worker in a new place that just opened with this service . This was my vechile and I understand if it was bothering them with the lights . But to yell out to customers about the light bothering them , the glare apart was not letting them work. The only reason I put my phone down was because I began to notice a few of the employees looking at me and than looking at the manager Emily . There was a polite way to ask .. did it ever occur to this ignorant employee that I might of not heard her mentioning the issue of the lights .. I’m hoping to contact the owner because people like this should not work in the customer service field. if I would of recorded this in video and posted on social media live , I honestly think it would go viral of how crazy...
Read moreI never visited a Duck Donuts before. Crowds are not my thing. I pulled in this afternoon on my time off from work and saw one car I decided to stop. I went inside I was said hello to and then I waited and waited. And waited. One person in line was on her phone and the gentleman at the register waited and waited for her ...... although I am not sure why we all waited and waited and she continued on her phone I know I was not going to wait what now seemed well over an acceptable amount of time with an additional register open and employees standing around ..... I picked up a menu and decided on what I wanted after never seeing the menu before and then the woman went out to her car but the employee still couldn't Proceed past her order and I thought I am not staying to wait on her to come back in while she has a conversation with two women in the car we were the only two cars in the lot. I was going to buy a dozen and as I mentioned my first visit....it will be my last. I supposed they didn't need my $25 something ...... but they won't get a second chance. I would give no stars but the menu looked good. Its a shame I will share my review on my Facebook page. Times are tough I can't imagine a business not needing a customer in todays economy. They should change the D to an F because that is as appreciated as I felt at the time and do right now. I surely hope someone reads...
Read moreThe employees who worked on 1/12/23 am shift were very in personable. They seemed like they had a little bit of an attitude and were annoyed at taking orders and making them. It made the atmosphere very unwelcoming. There wasn't seating for people to sit down just one row with stools. Not toddler friendly. As far as the food goes it was good, different from the pictures and it's not really all that it's hyped up to be. The website states you can make a breakfast sandwich out of any of there donuts but that was false. You have to get it on the plain donut and add only certain toppings. Example: I wanted a breakfast sandwich with the bacon in the sun donut and I had to get a plain donut and have bacon crumbles and some kind of...
