Went here for my husband and I 10 year anniversary. We just wanted something romantic and quick since we had a sitter for the kiddos but meaningful for us. We never ate at olive garden and decided to go. It closed at 11pm that Saturday but got there around 10:55pm we were nervous if no seats and being crowded or they stopped making fresh food. We made online RSVP just in case. We arrived and the building is gorgeous with optional outdoor romantic seating. It was cool out so we went inside...it was a little confusing to find entrance since it was dark but we made in. It was a group of students hanging out eating together minding there business and that's it. It was completely empty. We were still catered to like it was busy unstead of slacking since no one was really there. They Had a bar section with a bartender and nice large screens tv's to catch game (which hubby did) It was clean and very romantic despite it not really being planned. We ordered and split the dinner and appetizers. We had the chicken and gnooci spinach soup (amazing and soo creamy) and bread sticks (So buttery and moist) and dinner was pasta with chicken and shrimp cabonera (spaghetti, with an alfredo like sauce with shrimp and chicken decorated with red and yellow bell peppers) we asked to split plate in half and they did so...the protions was just the right size (so basically they have large food portions) I got an alcoholic drink (forgot name) it had mango and strawberry in it (soo good, not too sweet and just enough liquor) we were talking with the waiter and told him it's our anniversary and he said happy anniversary! Pick a dessert! We choose strawberry cheese cake. He said Save room for dessert! He then came out with a courtesy plate that said happy anniversary in raspberry sauce...it was so sweet. We packed up what we didn't ate in our little doggy bags and he put the left over bread sticks in a special foil pack used to warm the bread with out drying it out( taste even better at home...i wish I would be requested more bread sticks (they're unlimited!) First and best experience in a long time. Everything came up to 40$ with tip included which wasn't bad. Definitely recommend going there to everyone! We found our...
Read moreAfter 15 min Kristin retired from the back of the house. She then asked me “Do you know what you’re having to drink?” Not a greeting, not a made up excuse for the wait…. Nothing! I asked for a water no lemon. Kristen replied no problem. Then disappointed again. Returning with a coworker no water. They conversed, gossiped about tables, work related lala, then Kristen checked on the ONLY other customer at the bar. He was ready for his check. She printed his check. Made a drink ticket that came to the bar. Blended it in the blender, added decorative garnish, chatted with the server it was for, then cashed out the gentlemen seated at the bar whom had asked for his check. Kristen then loaded up his soup and salad bowl and plate headed for the back of the house…. I yelled excuse me what’s your name- she replied Kristen. I asked to add a regular drink wondering would this prompt her to ring in my order…Even take my order. She stopped immediately, swiped her key tag, rang up ???something??. Then Continued on with the dirty dishes. Returning with the same coworker, chatting they both stopped as Kristen poured my water. She then came over, sat the water down and asked if I knew what I’d like to order or did I still need a minute. It’s only been twenty-seven! I just smiled. Ordered soup / salad. She then went over to the register rang in something else, then mixed the drink…. I felt like a burden. Like I was completely interrupting her catching up with coworkers while arrogantly sashaying around like a runway expedition! She was not friendly or personable at all! Guest satisfaction was not even a consideration to this young lady who just may need retrained or rotated in position to get a feel for other positions - get out of the comfort of the bar spotlight. Which leads to a more laid back pace of service, which is not always acceptable if you’re not dealing...
Read moreKind of don't know where to Begin. We were seated by a hostess that seemed almost annoyed that we came in to the establishment to have food. After we were sat at a table we didn't see anybody for a drink for twenty minutes. I don't know if the young lady who came and asked us what we would like for our drinks was a server or a busser but she was the nicest person that we had contact with the entire evening. After another 15 minutes, when our waitress came took our food order. It took 40 minutes to get our food out. We literally got 2 plates of Alfredo. That was it. Now I know what you're probably thinking that they were probably busy. There was 7 tables with 3 servers. The young man who was taking care of 3 tables around us was buzzing in and out, bringing in food taking out food, bringing drinks, refilling drinks. He had tables come in and outwice before we even had our Food. The food itself was abysmal. I've tasted similar Alfredo sauce from a jar. And although I know that their sauces come prefrozen and are thawes out In prep (was informed this by someone who worked in the kitchen) it's depressing how tasteless and soulless alfredo sauce has become. By the time the waitress came back To ask us if we wanted containers containers. We had paid twenty minutes prior and was just waiting for her. To say that this olive garden has taken a serious plummet in customer service, hospitality and the quality of their food is an understatement. I can't speak for other olive gardens. But I can say that this particular one has completely failed in...
