If I could give Kaite a sixth star, I’d forge it from the charred scales of a fallen flame-dragon and launch it into the sky to guide lost foodies home.
Let me take you on a journey.
We stumbled into this BBQ haven with nothing but hope in our hearts and sauce on our minds. We didn’t know it yet, but we were about to meet her—Kaite, the legendary server whispered of in smoker pits and spice rub scrolls.
Kaite didn’t arrive to her shift by car like a mere mortal. No, friends—she sailed across a storm-ravaged ocean, wind howling, thunder booming, lightning striking her brisket-scented sails. From the blackened clouds, dragons descended—ancient beasts awakened by the scent of perfectly seared burnt ends.
But Kaite? She stood firm on the bow of her mesquite wood ship, eyes blazing like twin grills, wielding twin tongs of destiny. With one flick of the wrist, she flipped a bacon cheeseburger and peice of grilled salmon through the heart of a sky-dragon. Another dragon came at her, and she tamed it with a sample of her mac and cheese—so creamy it brought the beast to tears.
She arrived at our table like a storm in human form. Calm. Confident. She took our orders with a precision usually reserved for special ops and wedding planners. Drinks? Appeared before we could thirst. Burgers? So juicy, it was like editable poetry. Sides? Each one delivered with a tale and a flourish, like edible art.
And the donuts- It didn’t just melt in our mouths—it whispered secrets of the universe.
Kaite is no server. She is a BBQ Valkyrie. A dragon-slaying BBQ QUEEN, forged in smoke and bones.
We will return. We will sing her praises. And we will always—always—tip at least 30%.
Kaite forever. May her apron never stain.

Read moreJust got into to town for work for a few months and decided to try this place out. Not far from where the hotel that I'm staying at, so that is a major plus! Customer service is great. Greetings when you come in the door and told me what's worth eating on the menu. Now for the food.... As someone that use to cook for a living professionally, I was disappointed with the meal I got. I ordered the 2 meat platter (ribs and brisket) with sides of baked beans and Mac and cheese. I also got a side of Cole slaw because, what's bbq without some slaw? I also decided to try the cornbread.... Let's start with the meats... The bbq ribs were overcooked, or held in a holding pan for a while so that made the meat similar to leather. While it had a good flavor, it wasn't the best I had. The brisket was tender, yet fatty. It was okay, not the best and not the worst. It just was. The baked beans was very soupy. It was more liquid than baked beans which as a person that like baked beans, made me a little sad. Mac and cheese had no flavor, and the Cole slaw was a little too sour for my liking ( I like mine a little sweeter which is my preference) The cornbread....sigh. I'm a southerner and cornbread should not be hard. When I broke it apart and bit into it, it was like eating hardtack. It wasn't the best meal for nearly $50 (with tip) for take out. While I'm happy to say that they stay open until 1 am, I wish I had a...
