Downtown Winston Salem is becoming more welcoming to its residents of color however the Police presence during the National Black Theater Festival showed you just how far they have to go. THE way the police sat lurking at the colored was like a BLM rally not an event with celebrity presence. I enjoy the Downtown area for the most part it's peaceful, inclusive depending on which BAR you try to enter. (You get those, you sure your in the right place looks). Integrate it if you wish.
