I bought a John Deere zero-turn riding mower that came in this week and had a big surprise following my initial inspection after delivery which, which along with other recent issues I had with delayed orders several times, made me rethink my good opinion of HD. They also WILL NOT POST MY REVIEW ON THEIR PRODUCT PAGE. I wrote it 3 times this week and I can see reviews 4 days newer than mine but mine won't show. So, BEWARE THAT HOME DEPOT PRODUCT REVIEWS ARE CENSORED/MANIPULATED! So, that being the case, I am posting my experience here: The tractor was delivered dirty, with several scratches and scuffs, rust, the decal along left side peeling out, but worst of all was the water found in the engine crankcase -mixed in the oil, which prompted to immediately have the oil and filter changed. And it was a lot judging by the thin consistency of the white-gray murky liquid seen splattering and foaming during oil change. I can’t possibly understand how/when that happened, was it at Kawasaki, John Deere or Home Depot during preparation or storage, or who knows…-it also had almost 3 hrs run time on board at delivery. I really hope that no permanent damage was done to the engine. I have also informed John Deere and Kawasaki so that they know how their sales partner handles their product because they will be responsible to cover warranty claims due to perhaps no fault of their own. The response from all 3 was useless and underwhelming, so I doubt that any action will be taken. I must admit that I’ve always preferred Home Depot over Lowes which is closer to our house, but they have recently kept offering me reasons to the contrary on several occasions (delayed order deliveries, . This time they have topped the chart in a way I couldn’t have imagined, and WE ARE VERY, VERY DISSAPOINTED (the machine came from HD store #3610 in Winston-Salem on Hanes Mall Blvd). Come on folks, really, when a customer pays over $4000 for a brand-new item at your store, you need to pay attention and be more careful to do your job properly.

I went to Home Depot on Hanes Mall Blvd today 08/16/2020 at approximately 3pm. I asked the salesman (Al), who was sitting behind a desk in the kitchen area, what was the brand of the cabinets that were displayed in the showroom. The guy replied that there was a piece of paper with the name on it. I thought, okay, it's true it says it right there. After going around the kitchen cabinet area a couple of times, I asked him if those were all the granite samples that were available, he said that was it, so I told him that I couldn't find what I was looking for. The guy, still sitting down, just shrugged his shoulders; I did not say anything. I kept looking around and found two drawers with small granite samples inside, which proved the guy lied to me; again I didn't say anything to him. While I was looking for what I needed, an older couple came to the kitchen cabinet area and asked him a question. The guy immediately stood up. They didn’t have what the couple was looking for, but the salesperson offered to send someone to their house to see their kitchen and show them the designs and materials that were available. I wasn't going to say anything to him, but I couldn't help it. I took off my mask (so that he could hear me and understand me well) and I said to him "You weren't that helpful to me when I approached you and asked you questions." The guy wanted to give me a ridiculous excuse and I replied "whatever, I just wanted you to know" and I turned around while he kept talking nonsense. This is how things are at this store now, the treatment you receive is according to the color of your skin or your apparent social status. The older couple didn't buy anything, I did, but I purchased it from the company across the street, Lowes, you moron!

To say that I love hate this place is an understatement. I love to go here as does my wife. I head to the tools and she heads to the flowers and garden area. They have a not shabby Ethernet networking area with decent tools if any of you pros are in need of tools. They have riser cable, pullers, ends, meters just like the old westerns, the good the bad and the ugly. Most of the staff are friendly and their plumbing and electrical section is decent if you need something and you don't want to go to the local specialty supply. The downsides light on lumber or a lot of variety. Plan early they will accommodate large jobs you need a PRO account. They have it prekitted and have not messed any of mine or my clients orders.

We selected Home Depot for our project to replace the carpet in our house. What a mistake! Romanoff Renovations in Greensboro, NC was the installer that Home Depot selected for our project. While the actual carpet that Home Depot sold us is fine, Romanoff Renovations damaged our bed and personal belongings during the installation. After we filed a claim, Sedgwick (who handles the claims for Home Depot) seemed like they wanted to help us reach a resolution on our claim. The Sedgwick rep put us in touch with the claims associate at Romanoff Renovations (Beverly Crump). At Romanoff's request, we obtained estimates to have our damaged bed repaired. We even used the company they recommended. We provided countless pictures to show the damage. In one of the pictures, there were small pieces of raw wood on the bed (next to the damaged area). It is obvious that the damage was recent. The end result is that Beverly Crump and Romanoff called us liars - twice, and said that the damage to our Thomasville bed was preexisting damage. They believe we are filing a bogus claim. This makes absolutely no sense. They are saying that we scheduled a $5,400 job, paid extra to have the furniture moved, on the hopes that we would be able to get $485 in repairs done to the bed. Ridiculous! They only offered us $120 to replace all of the broken pictures. I guess it's a good thing that we have a Ring camera video which shows the moment all of the pictures were broken. Hard to deny! They didn't even offer to help clean up all of the broken glass! Their on-site installation manager told my wife that "sometimes things happen on job sites". Unbelievable! A couple of weeks after our claim, Romanoff said that one of their installers noticed the damage before they disassembled and moved our bed, and then took a picture of the damage. I find it very suspicious that the installer would not bring this alleged preexisting damage to our attention, at the very least to keep them from being blamed for the damage. The fact is that there was no preexisting damage. I believe that the installer took a picture of the bed after they damaged it, and then claimed it was preexisting. Again, why would they not bring this alleged preexisting damage to our attention, at the very least to keep them from being blamed for it. No one has even bothered to look at our damaged bed in-person, although we have asked them to multiple times. While the Home Depot carpet was fine, be very cautious with any installer that Home Depot uses. Before an installation, I would recommend that you inventory all of your personal items, and make sure that you take pictures of everything. If your personal belongings get damaged, they may try to claim the damage was preexisting (like they did with us). And if you live in central North Carolina, do not let Home Depot send Romanoff Renovations to your house. They not only caused damage to our property, they called us liars - twice. Now, neither Romanoff Renovations or Sedgwick will answer emails or return phone messages. Great customer service! One thing I know for sure is that Lowe's has never treated us so poorly! Looks like our only avenue now is taking...

In the name of tolerance. My husband and I visited HD at Hanes Mall Blvd on May 27th,2023 at about 10:00 am. We have been looking for a new front door for our home. We went shopping this Saturday morning for some garden items, spotted a model in the style of the door we have been looking for, and decided to request information for the item and installation since there was someone at the Doors and Windows Service Desk. I waited to be called forward after the lady on duty finished the only other customer in the area. I told her I wanted to know the price of the door in the display ( A THERMA-TRU special-order model), and her response was " Oh, those are very expensive doors. They are very expensive". I responded, " I know, but I still would like to about how much they are". Of course, her comment felt like she already had decided we could not afford the price. My husband standing 10 feet apart noticed her attitude and told me to forget it and just continue our shopping. I wanted to wait. The lady just shook her head and repeat it multiple times during our interaction. The lady started making questions as she started the quote. Every question was done with impatience and intolerance, as I hesitated in choosing items for the door that I'm simply not familiar with ( we don't change our front door monthly. The current door is 23 YO). She barely explained a few of those items. When she finally gave me a price I asked her if she could print the details of what I choose, and she said she could not print them because they had not made a measurement of my door. I asked her if she could at least give me a piece of paper to write the price, and she did. I have to say my husband is still upset. I decided to stay until the end of that quote because I was not giving her what she was evidently expecting from me: Not to bother her. I decided not to learn her name. I think her tag said she is in her 3rd. year of employment. Yesterday I decided to pray and thank the Lord for creating a shield in me when I found people that need to go back to the basics and learn the value of kindness. To this lady: "Don't work at the service desk if you are not willing to give the service. It just not right to mistreat people. The lady at the self-check-out can teach you some things. She was...

Beginning in December 2018 I decided to order flooring through Home Depot at Hanes Mall Boulevard. There was a special when ordering a bulk amount of flooring. It became a nightmare. Just ordering the flooring for my 2400 square feet rental property took hours and hours. I talked to 5 to 10 different flooring staff that kept making mistakes in how to calculate the order. Once I finally thought it was completed, went to the store to pay for the order and they again stopped it saying the person had calculated it wrong and we had to calculate it yet another time. I must have spent over 6 hours talking with the flooring staff. Finally, this stage was complete and I paid for my order on December 28th. It is now February 2019 and the installation is not complete. Once the Rominoff flooring installers finally came, the installed the carpet in my home but failed to put carpet on a small set of stairs in the back of the house. The rest of the house was scheduled for sheet vinyl. That installation has not happened. Rominoff, whom Hanes Mall Home Depot is contracted with asked my personal contractor to level a small area in a door threshold, which was completed. However, they then refused to complete the rest of the project saying the floors weren't level. The house is 80 years old, I purchased a floating floor and almost $1,000 worth of luan. The floors are flat, which is all that's needed. I have spoken with the Operations Manager and everyone that's involved in the flooring department at the store. They finally sent a confirmation to install the flooring on 2/15/2019. My contractor waited all day at the home. They never showed up and never called. When I called them I was told, "Oh, we tried to contact you to say we have to inspect the floors first. We couldn't reach you." I refused to do any more business with them. I called the store and asked for a refund. The response I got, "Oh Mrs. Cumbo we will honor your request but there's something wrong with our computer. I'll get back with you." I have heard nothing since. I'm on my way to...
