Winter Park Laser falsely advertises and states the results for their Velashape III system. I visited their office to inquire about their procedure and met with the office manager, Candace Valencia. My husband was in attendance. I have very slight loose skin but workout and have a strict exercise regimen—which I explained to Candace about. She quickly told me that I would be an ideal candidate since I am fit and people like me see “great results.” Since I wanted some time to think about it, she stated that she would offer 4 treatments. I asked if they were permanent, she said they were not. I thought it was interesting that she did not point that out, but I had to ask before she noted that.
Nevertheless, I proceeded with the treatment. The first one, I did not see results. The second time I went in, I communicated to Candace that I did not see any changes. She stated that they are noticeable after the second treatment. I had the second treatment and I followed all instructions (do not drink alcohol, eat clean, drink water). I called in and explained that I still do not see changes. The receptionist told me that I needed to eat clean, drink water, and workout—and I responded that I worked out 4-5 times a week and had a strict, clean diet.
The third visit, my husband was present, I again told Candace that I was not seeing any results. She turned up the machine and I left with a lot of pain. I had slight burn marks from the high temperature. I contacted via email on July 21, 2018 that I did not see results even after instructions. Her response was for me to come in to finish treatment. I did not want to finish treatments because they were painful and were not working.
On July 25; July 27; July 30; I sent emails requesting for someone to call me to discuss what my options were since the treatment did not work. I did not get a response. On July 29, I called and requested a call back. I never got a call back. I requested to speak to the owner as Candace was not resolving anything for me.
Late July 30, Candace responded saying that they cannot do anything other than finish the treatment. They said that improvement “will not be drastic.” But, there was no improvement at all. She said the owner will not issue a refund, a credit, or anything to correct the situation. She stated results occur after 3-4 treatments, but many of their drastic “before and afters” state “one” or “two” treatments. Therefore, it is seemingly untrue or the photos were altered/combined with other treatment.
Based on their Yelp and Google reviews, they do not claim responsibility for any sort of unhappiness of their clients. Instead of remedying a situation, they blame the customer. If they are advertising a product or service that does not work for all, they need to disclose that. Their customer service lacks. Furthermore, Candace and the owner are incredibly unprofessional. Not only did they treat me as though I am at fault for their product not working, but Candace spent a considerable amount of time during one of my treatments blaming the death of the owner’s father on paramedics/EMTS/firefighters while my husband was in the room. My husband is in emergency services himself and we did not feel comfortable hearing other people’s personal business about medical issues during our visit.
I respectfully requested for a refund and the owner refused to do anything to remedy the situation early on from the second treatment. Unethical. They tried submitting a check for the remaining treatment that I did not adamantly want, but I do not think it is reasonable that I have to be responsible for something that was falsely advertised. The ideal thing to do as an owner is contact or respond to a client that is clearly giving you an opportunity to remedy a situation for over a month. This whole thing was completely avoidable had my issues been addressed from the time I stated the treatment was not working. Go...
Read moreI went to get a price on under eye laser treatment. The owner lured me in she said come by my office and we have some good deals and we specialize in laser. So she told me to have my whole face done to help with my freckles and sun damage. So she took my credit card and told me to come in for the treatment the following day. I never had laser before so I called to find out what machine they were using and for a test patch. I came in the following day and a part of my face was numbed. The machine is the Cynosure Icon Laser treatment. This machine has two hand pieces one treats discoloration, sun damage, freckles . The second piece removes skin to help with collagen this is the 1540 non ablative laser. This machine addresses all 3 skin conditions in one procedure. So after the aesthetician enters the room she says she can’t use the first hand piece on my face because she was afraid of it causing discoloration. Then owner comes in saying in a loud tone well you just wanted a laser and I explained to her what she originally told me she was going to do and why are they cutting the procedure in half. Then the aesthetician was trying to get me to use another machine for discoloration. Well right there and then I knew I was being scammed to pay more for the use of another machine knowing that the Cynosure did it all in one procedure. This facility might be good for Botox but I would not trust them with any other aesthetics. I did some research found a plastic surgeon he had the same machine and warned me to stay away from spa that offers anything more than Botox . Oh there is a very sweet nurse that offers facials and that would be safe to schedule. If you want laser go to a dermatologist or plastic...
Read moreMultiple rounds of Botox and filler are without proper results. Save your time and money and go somewhere else.
I was informed that the filler would last a year, but within three months, it had completely dissolved. I returned and purchased another syringe, despite already feeling that the cost was much higher than others, given that this medspa is in Winter Park, I assumed the price reflected the quality. Unfortunately, that was not the case the second round of filler dissolved within just three months as well.
When I brought this up, Jackie, the front desk associate, assured me that my next syringe would be free. I was relieved, as this experience had already been frustrating and expensive.
When I called to schedule my appointment, Jackie denied ever making that promise. While I never expect anything for free, this was something explicitly offered to me. Instead of addressing the issue professionally, she was dismissive and gave me an attitude.
Beyond filler and Botox, I also invested in full-body laser hair removal here. My husband and I also got Botox.
I wrote a letter to the owner, hoping for a resolution, but never received a response from her. Instead, another staff member called me back, but no effort was made to rectify the situation. Just an apology for a “misunderstanding”.
My husband spent $1000 in Botox and it looked as though he has never had it done. Very disappointing.
We will not spend another penny at this medspa and strongly advise others to...
