had never visited this store before . . . chanced a trip because i was in a neighboring place last week at Woburn Family Dental and saw the sign reading APNA BAZAR - the word APNA in the name told me that surely i will be welcome . . . . . . immediately on walking in i was warmly greeted by team members working at the registers . . . i had no list because i wasn't out to shop so i stood and looked around before venturing into the aisles . . . it was extremely satisfying to see my favorite brands on well stacked shelved and peeping eagerly out to attract me attention were other brands that i have not seen elsewhere before . . . . i got myself a cart and started filling it up . . . for some of the items, i was amazed to see excellent pricing (now don't tell me to tell you which items the prices were amazingly low!) . . . . walked around and saw my favorite brand of raisins but did not find the lack raisins (saw only golden and red) in Three Rivers brand - walked to ask the lady doing some merchandising about it and she walked back with me to the aisle to explain that she did not have what i was looking for and showed me what she had - she then asked meekly for permission to ask a question - i nodded and she asked my why i wanted only the black variety and what is the difference between different types and brands - i invested my minutes to explain the differences between raisins and how the differences are because differing types of grapes grow in different regions, are processed and dried differently, etc - she patiently listened and politely thanked me for enlightening her - she was wearing spectacles and was about 5 ft tall but i did not see her name on a badge - please find her out and thank her for excellent service . . . . then at another aisle i was told by a gent with a huge black beard that my question would be best answered by Ram Appa in a different aisle - as expected Ram Appa did have all the answers for my questions i was looking for in the chips and snacks area . . . moving through the aisle i also looked at the Halal Meat section - impressively clean and neatly laid out - did not buy any this visit but will love to go back there in future - liked the fish collection too . . . . my wife observed that for many of the ground masalas and dried fruits the smaller packs were not available - why? - whereas it does make commercial sense to by bigger packs, one must also balance storage space and inventory carrying time at home - we really have to be careful to not have spoiled stuff thrown away because we tried to save money buying bulk - that was wisdom / gyaan which she always shares . . . . . . . . at the end at the check out - the cashier was friendly and patient - willing to follow bagging directions from me to keep bags at manageable weight and also maintain segregation for liquids and all that usual extra fuss that senior people love to make at the exit desk - no sign of annoyance and positive attitude from the cashier helped us to decide that we will be back . . . keep up the service and rest assured we will...

I recently visited Apna Bazar in Woburn, and I must say it was a delightful experience. Apna Bazar is a well-known Indian grocery store that offers a wide range of products and ingredients, and I was impressed with the overall quality and variety they had to offer.

First and foremost, the store was clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate. The aisles were neatly arranged, making it convenient to find specific items. The shelves were well-stocked with a diverse selection of Indian spices, condiments, lentils, rice, flours, and other pantry staples. They also had a good assortment of fresh produce, including a variety of fruits and vegetables commonly used in Indian cooking.

One aspect that stood out to me was the freshness and quality of the products. The fruits and vegetables looked fresh and vibrant, and the shelves were well-maintained with products that were in good condition. The store takes pride in offering authentic Indian ingredients, and I found many brands and products that are not easily available in regular grocery stores.

The staff at Apna Bazar were friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to assist whenever needed. They were able to answer my questions about specific products and provide recommendations. The checkout process was smooth and efficient, with minimal wait times.

Additionally, Apna Bazar also has a small section dedicated to ready-to-eat snacks, sweets, and frozen foods. It's a great place to find some quick and convenient Indian snacks and desserts. The store also offers a variety of kitchen utensils, cookware, and traditional Indian cookbooks, which I found to be a nice touch.

Overall, my experience at Apna Bazar in Woburn was excellent. The store offers a wide range of authentic Indian products, maintains high standards of cleanliness and organization, and has a friendly and helpful staff. If you're in need of Indian groceries or are looking to explore Indian cuisine, I highly recommend paying a visit...

I have been a loyal customer of this store for the last three years and consistently appreciated the diverse range of products available. However, a recent incident involving a misplaced purchase has significantly altered my perception of this establishment and raised serious concerns about its commitment to customer satisfaction.

Upon realizing that paid-for items had been inadvertently missing in the store, a request was made to review the store's security footage, only to be informed that the cameras were purportedly non-operational. This response raises significant questions about accountability and transparency, especially in situations involving potential loss or theft of customer property. The manager's subsequent defiant attitude when the possibility of contacting emergency services was raised, declaring, "go ahead anyway we are closing the store in five minutes", underscored a blatant disregard for customer concerns. He was completely unapologetic and didn’t even care to ask my name or phone number.

I returned to the store two days later; the lost items were successfully retrieved. I talked to the manager and a blonde-haired female staff/owner/manager (I don’t mean to be disrespectful, just don’t know her name or she is staff/owner as she didn’t wear ID/name tags, nor did she care to introduce herself). They were totally unapologetic, and their lack of decorum and defensive stance throughout this ordeal, was deeply disappointing. Instead, the response received was the dismissive and unprofessional, "what do you want sorry now?" However, when inquiring why no attempt was made to obtain customer’s contact information to facilitate the return of the merchandise, their justification was that they were "too busy." further demonstrated a severe lack of professionalism and customer empathy.

Customer grievance and sensitivity to customer concerns are paramount in any business, and in this instance, it was...

❌ Terrible experience "UNSAFE" food and unprofessional staff. I bought a frozen food item from this store, and when I opened it at home, I found it covered in black fungus. I went back to the store and showed them clear photo proof. Instead of acknowledging the issue, the staff dismissed me and implied I was lying because I didn’t bring the product back. I asked for the store manager, Romy Selhi, and from the very start he was rude and disrespectful saying if I don't have a product he can't do anything. I asked him to open the same product from the freezer so we could check it together, and I agreed to buy it if it looked fine. He opened it in front of his staff and other customers and guess what? It also had fungus. Any honest person would be ashamed and sorry at that point! But him, still, no apology, just, “I’ll return your money.” I am very glad that the staff and the customers who where there get to see and hear that!! To the manager: respect is a two-way street. If you don’t know how to speak respectfully to customers, don’t expect to be respected in return. This was not about refund, but for accountability. Unless its public proof they would lie and refuse accountability Please see other true reviews with proof and pictures. This whole business needs to be checked!!!

Worth Visiting. Special Indian Store Items. All varieties at Reasonable Price. Staff Courteous. All items are Displayed Nicely. Price seems to be lesser than other Branded Indian Stotes. Value for Money. Recommended

I've visited hundreds of Indian grocery stores across the country in the past 40 years. Apna Bazaar is easily the BEST shopping experience across the board compared to national chains like Patel Brothers. The inventory selection is huge - this is the first time in years that I've been overwhelmed by the fantastic array of choices for my favorite Indian foods. The frozen foods section is huge, with an extensive selection of vegetarian and non vegetarian delights at reasonable prices. As an example, I counted over 20 different brands / types of paratha as well as samosa. The isles are uncluttered, the store is super clean and well organized, the vegetables and fruits are fresh, with several choices of items like mangoes imported directly from India and South America. They have a meat and fish section where you can buy goat, and several types of Indian seafood. Kudos to the owners for crafting this incredible retail establishment and training staff to be courteous and helpful. I will drive 40 miles to shop at this store once a month. Best Indian grocery store in New England - having been to stores in New York, Queens, New Jersey, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine on numerous trips in the past 3 years.
