Very disappointed with the Woburn Location!!!
It started before we even walked in the door. It was lunch with my cousins and I suggested 110 Grill because I love the restaurant. Reservations were originally made but the number of guests changed due to work commitments. The cousin who made the original reservation called this morning but the restaurant wasn't open yet so she left a message. The hostess checked if our party was ready & if we were still a party of 10. We said no & a message was left ahead of time at which the hostess responds well we don't get messages, with a little attitude I might add, whats the point of having voicemail then.
Next issue, the bread dish at my seat was dirty on the front side & the back side looked to have dried egg on it.
The waiter had no personality at all not to mention he seemed very uncomfortable in his job. He greeted us & placed the drink napkins down which were dirty with butter because he had butter on his hands, which he atested to - gross, he took our drink order. When he brought them out even those glasses looked dirty. I only got water to drink which had a funky taste to me, I couldn't drink it.
We placed our orders & because it was lunch time the meatloaf dinner wasnt listed. I specifically asked if all it came with was mashed potatoes, because I couldn't remember, I was told yes. Imagine my surprise when my order came out with broccoli on the plate. The broccoli wasn't drained well & made the mash potatoes runny. I moved the broccoli off the plate, having to dry with my drink napkin. I also had to ask a second time for a to go container I asked for when I placed my order.
The food was good, but it confused me how a place, being what I would consider slow for lunch, that my food was warm at best. We ate our lunch he came over checking to see if everyone was through. One of my cousins asked for another tea as he was clearing dishes which his answer was just wait I'll be back for coffee orders. He brought out their coffee & tea he gave my cousins their hot waters without tea bags, they had to ask for them & they had to ask for cream also. My other cousin had to ask a second time for more water.
As we finished our drinks he was busing & setting the table behind us. Instead of walking around the side of the table away from us he worked the side closest to us & bumped my chair 3 different times.
I will have to say I would probably never visit this particular location & now understand why it was...
Read moreOne of the few places up here where I don't need to add my own seasonings and spices to the foods. A delicacy through and through. Highly recommend the garlic butter salmon as you can taste the freshness of ingredients and taste the grill smoke dance on your taste buds along with the freshness of the salmon, the oils, and light seasonings. The salmon here is seasoned with respect to that ocean fresh taste. Rare indeed. The side of jasmine rice and brussle sprouts had their respective strengths as well. The rice tasted broiled not steamed. There's making rice and then there is perfecting. Today they perfected the jasmine rice and kept it's fragrance. The Brussel sprouts were a tad bet buttery but was fully flavorful and did not taste like farts. Upon walking into this establishment you are greeted and ask if you have any dietary specifics or allergies. Then you are escorted to your seat and the waiter inquires again (after you review the menu of course) of any dietary or allergy concerns. Overall this warm cozy place was near perfection. I did have to take off points for minor things such as stains on cutlery and embedded food stains on plates. The resturnat needs their air filter checked because there was dust everywhere including on my cloth napkin. They also do not have modelo but did have corona with my signature 3 limes and salt on rim. Waiter accommodated my needs appropriately. This place has potential! Come and spoil your tastebuds for lunch. You only dine once 🤭.
Update: came here again 11 Oct 2024 at 1220pm. Was sat but servers just stared at me. Menu was faced down and everything. Wasted my lunch waiting to be served so I had to leave without eating...
Read moreIn all fairness to the 110 Grill, I need to comment on THIS particular location. It was a ton better than my previous visit to a different location. Our server was on top of her game... The atmosphere was great as well. They have an enormous bar here which we would have sat at, if it were only two of us. My food was more on the bland side. The Beurre Blanc left a lot to be desired in my opinion, but my GF pasta was done to perfection! My chicken breast was very thinly pounded.. I would have liked it a bit thicker so I could actually taste the meat. Perhaps it was supposed to be done that way? I have seen it done better at other establishments. My celiac friend was very happy with her choices. One of the things she ordered were the onion strings. She shared them with me and I have to say that these were absolutely delicious! The flavor was so intense! Normally you get a greasy bunch of onion rings and you revel in the fat for the flavor, but these were so good! Not greasy at all and the strings just had so much yummy onion flavor! Desert was good as well. I had the peanut butter desert, GF. The other two had key lime cheesecake. I couldn't finish mine. Too much chocolate not enough peanut butter.... but I was more than full by the time the desert arrived. I would go back, but next time I will address my likes and dislikes. I know how I like my food. By the way, this joint was jumping... it is a very popular place and I saw some very interesting dishes come out of that kitchen (we sat next to...
