BEEARE OF THIS PROPERTY!!!!!
As a global traveler and LIFETIME diamond member of Hilton, I would not pick this place for a stay. The General Manager Alex, doesn’t actually seem to be involved in what’s going on in his own hotel.
On my most recent stay at this property, sitting at the downstairs lobby bar on my 3rd night in Woburn, the lobby bar was completely empty at 845pm so I pulled up a chair at the bar and Venessa, the so called bartender asked if I would like a drink, my response was “are you even open”. This was asked due to the fact that there was nobody around nor anyone else at the lobby bar except for Mo, the night shift front desk staff and he was speaking to Vanessa as she was cleaning. Somehow this response was taken so hurtful and condescendingly that Vanessa then refused me Service, where I haven’t even had one drink. She began to tell me that she felt threatened by me because of the way I was speaking to her asking if the bar was even open. Finally she proceeds to threatened to call the cops on me if I did not get away from the bar which I politely did. So I instructed her to please call the cops. I can’t wait to see how this story plays out when you explained to them you refuse me Service for asking if the bar was just open at 8:45 when you were wiping the counter and no one was around.
I filed a complaint with the Hilton honors diamond desk immediately and then followed up with Alex the general manager only to find out that he says he doesn’t check the complaint email box very often so I then escalated it again to the Hilton honors diamond desk to express my concerns that now I don’t feel safe staying in this property due to the fact that the bartender at any point in time can threaten to call the cops on you for no apparent reason.
Beware if you stay at this property that this could easily happen to you. I also expressed to the GM and to the diamond desk that maybe this employee has had numerous complaints on her and should be moved to other opportunities within the hotel such as laundry service where she does not have to interface with the general public. I will say that this is a corporate stay for me and my company will now remove this Hilton property and all surrounding Hilton properties that are affiliated with this Homewood suites from our corporate policy effective immediately. This will not be tolerated by any employee for any reason. There needs to be a coaching moment to Vanessa, she needs to be moved to a different part of the staff. If she is going to retain her job at this hotel, Vanessa is unprofessional and Vanessa should be relocated to a different opportunity if she even has a job at all moving forward with Hilton corporation.
The rest of the customer service at this property was phenomenal, including the staff at the front desk, including the housekeeping, staff and all of the other management that I had to deal with, but I will say the GM of this hotel is very disconnected and is unaware of the situation that are going on in his own property and this needs to be addressed on a corporate level as well and I have also address this to the Hilton Honors management and have written a very lengthy and meaningful email to express my concerns with these staff members.
This might be the most unprofessional place that I have ever stayed in and my 36 years...
Read moreVery nice newer hotel. Excellent housekeeping. Very clean rooms, halls, lobby, exterior, and dining. Very responsive staff. Hotel policy is room housekeeping every other day. Plan accordingly. Well insulated rooms with excellent AC/heat. Note: the heating/cooling units do make a bit of noise, so set it to reach your temperature, and then, shut it off. Insulation maintains comfortable atmosphere. Higher ceilings and more spacious than "typical" Homewood Suites. 2 adults and 2 kids could stay in a one bedroom without being on top of one another. Kitchen has 3/4 frig, very large microwave, 2 burners, dishwasher, and 2 cup coffee maker. Room has plenty of dishes, cookware, and extras like bottle opener and measuring cups. Very nice! Stayed in one bedroom king suite. Bring your Netflix password because the very large smart TVs have access! Also have Tubi, a full cable HBO package (multiple channels) and basic cable. Real lockable door between bedroom/bathroom and living room/kitchen. Excellent for small families. Honors members can use the app to use as an extra remote for room TVs. Plenty of charging access for devices in bedroom and in living room. King mattress excellent comfort. Sofa bed good comfort. Bathroom has walk-in shower with excellent water pressure/temperature. Note- those under 5'5" may have a difficult time adjusting showerhead. It has a very hard massaging stream and a medium shower stream. Adjust BEFORE you step in the shower especially if you are a shorter person. May have to turn shower off and on a few times to get it where you want it, but there is plenty of light and space in the bathroom so not too inconvenient. The vent makes no noise at all, but ventilation still seemed good. NOTE-HOMEWOOD SUITES BREAKFAST IS NEXT TO FRONT DESK. There are two dining areas so be aware. Homewood Suites and Hampton Inn share same building, pool, laundry, and parking lot. However, they do not share breakfast. The HS breakfast area is spacious and comfortable and the hosts keep it clean. They use disposable dishes and silverware. The basics of a good HS breakfast including fresh fruit, juice, coffee, waffles, a crock of hot fresh oatmeal, yogurt, various breakfast breads including bagels and small muffins. They also have hot breakfast items that include eggs and breakfast meats. They have nothing in particular for dietary restrictions (no dairy free milk, for example) but there is plenty to make a good breakfast. For example, nuts and mixed dried fruits for oatmeal and several cereals including granola. I would suggest bringing your own dairy free milk if you need it. Business area for Homewood Suites is in the second dining area of the HS breakfast area and includes comfortable sofas, a computer, a printer, and a desk. Outside breakfast area beside the drop off area is an outdoor patio with grills. Hotel has a bar that is open ONLY Monday through Friday. The bar seems like a nice arrangement for those who are staying for business or conferences and meeting with colleagues and clients when the work day is done. Indoor pool is smaller, especially for a shared hotel this big, but is clean and warm. All in all, this hotel is an excellent value. Great for business, families, couples, and travelers wanting a place to stay in the greater Boston area. I would absolutely...
Read moreWe had a puff of dirt/ dust emit from the a/c unit when we walked in the room and turned on the air. I cleaned the filters and they were nasty. We opened the sleeper sofa for my sister to sleep on and it had a dirty sheet covered in multiple bodily fluid/ blood stains - big ones. When we stripped the bed, there were crumbs & sprinkles on the mattress. We called the front desk about it and they assured us someone would be up to address the problem. The lady shows up with linens and tries to book it out of there. So I call to her & say "Hey! The mattress needs vacuumed from all the junk on it. What do you want us to do with the bloody sheet?" She comes back to our doorway & tells me she'll be right back with a vacuum & gloves. She grabs the bloody sheet with her gloved hands after handing ME the vacuum & proceeds to leave. She left the cleaning part up to us. So we vacuumed the mattress, made our own bed, & then started unpacking. I used the restroom at this point and found not only poop but also pee on the bathroom wall by the toilet. It WAS hard to see, granted, since BOTH light bulbs were burnt out in the main lighting fixture so I can't blame the cleaner for this specific incident. I called back to the front desk and they sent up a maintenance man to replace the 2 bulbs but nobody to clean the bathroom. I feel like I should have been hired at that point in our stay due to how much we did to make the room appear clean. My issues were not only the ones we dealt with but what wasn't cleaned in that room that should have been that I COULDN'T see? Covid is still very real and a huge problem for my sister who has lung cancer. I pray that the maid sanitized what they could before we got there.
Nobody ever offered us a different room.
**I have many pictures to prove what happened. The pictures of the screens/ filters are the AFTER result of me scrubbing them in the tub. They're still speckled with mold&dirt. That's my sister vacuuming. There's a picture of the 2 spots of poop, the pee streaks, &the dirty light switch and then a picture of the lysol wipe we used to clean all that up with. The bloody sheet also had a beer cap in it, you know, for good measure....
I spoke with the front desk about all this and they agreed that it sounded like i had "a part-time job" - his words, not mine. They offered me points for another stay in the future for ONE night even though we were booked for 2.... I'm not so sure about that happening, EVER!
I reached out to the support staff of who we booked through and they said that the hotel was even giving them the run around.
Overall, not a...
