I have never publicly complained about any business ever, but I want to save any cat lovers from a broken heart. I just wanted to let everyone know not to adopt from Save the Meow Meow's not only are their adoption fees outrageously high their contract raised major red flags. I had requested that a cat be reserved and seen by a vet after noticing they had upper respiratory symptoms, I told them I could pick them up after being treated as I had a cat at home already. After picking her up I noticed in addition to her still have obvious signs of a URI, she had trouble breathing she had green discharge coming out of her nose and eyes. I took her to the vet within 24 hours of having her in my care. Upon seeing the vet we looked in her ears and saw a DISGUSTING yeast infection in both ears, how could this be overlooked? They were black and horribly inflamed. After vet visit one I was prescribed 3 antibiotics for ears, eyes and URI. I let the cafe know how unbelievably disappointed I was after this visit and they gave me a partial refund. I then had to ask, has she been tested as aids and leukemia negative, you would assume she was being around at the cat lounge among other cats right? NOPE. No records of her being cleared for the BASICS. OK.. so I schedule ANOTHER vet visit yep in less than 2 weeks after adoption I've dropped half a grand on one cat. We get her tested, she is negative but the vet says we have bad news she's FIP positive. What is FIP most people don't know because it's so rare. It's related to COVID and most vets will tell you it's incurable but there are off the market drugs that can cure them. The vet said the treatment would be THOUSANDS of dollars and injections would be extremely painful. After bonding with my sweet girl I had to made the heartbreaking decision to return her in hopes she could get the care she deserves. After doing some research I learned that this disease is treatable and affordable, If I had known this at the time I wouldn't have made the extremely gut wrenching decision to return her back to the cat lounge. Now they are refusing for me to treat her at home. Shame on you saved the meow meows you broke two hearts. After I had donated hundreds of dollars worth of food and other items.
The VCA let me know that they are seeing A LOT of very sick cats being adopted out from Save the Meow Meow's they are wreckless and need to be checked. If anyone knows how to report this on a higher level please...

The lounge is so cozy and cute, designed for the enjoyment of both cats and people. It’s the perfect little place to relax and chill with adorable cats and kittens. There is always a variety of cats with unique personalities, and the staff are very caring and friendly. They do a wonderful job of socializing cats responsibly. Plus, the gift shop in the front is delightful featuring cat-themed art and trinkets, many made by local artists, and cute toys and supplies for cats.
I’ve been incredibly fortunate to be able to partner with Save the Meow Meows in finding homes for some of the cats I’ve rescued and fostered. I live in Hesperia but travel to the lounge in Yucca Valley to transport cats for adoption because I feel very confident in the way they run their rescue organization and ensure the best for the cats in their care. Thank you for saving...
Read moreWe saw this cat lounge passing through Joshua Tree and had to stop by! They have a cute little shop with a variety of products for your kitty and cute stuff for kitty lovers! They have snacks and drinks available for purchase as well including ramen that you can make there:) It is $13 for entry into the lounge where you can stay as long as you'd like. They have you sign a waiver, sanitize your hands, and pick toys and treats for the kitties in the lounge. There was many different kinds of cats and kittens, all very friendly:) They are still cats so you have to respect if they are sleeping or do not want to play but there were plenty of little kittens that wanted to play and cuddle! We stayed for about 2 hours and had a great time, we did not adopt any cats but if we lived closer we would have! Definitely come check it...
