A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Hanoi – Le Premier Hotel Review
Our recent stay at Le Premier Hotel in Hanoi exceeded all expectations, and I genuinely can’t recommend this place enough. Tucked away in a charming alley just steps from the bustling Hoàn Kiếm Lake, this hotel offers a blend of comfort, hospitality, and authenticity that’s hard to come by.
Room & Comfort: We stayed in a standard room which, while on the smaller side, was immaculately clean and thoughtfully arranged. The bed was comfortable, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and the bathroom was spotless with a strong shower and high-quality amenities. Despite being compact, the room didn’t feel cramped — just cozy and efficient. For the location and price point, the quality far exceeded what I’d normally expect.
Service & Staff: The service was, without exaggeration, impeccable. From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us with genuine warmth and attentiveness. They were always on hand to help with directions, recommendations, or even just a friendly chat. It’s rare to feel this well looked after in a boutique hotel, and their personal touch really elevated the entire experience.
Location: You honestly couldn’t ask for a better spot. Nestled in the Old Quarter, the hotel is just a couple of minutes’ walk to Hoàn Kiếm Lake, which makes morning strolls or evening walks incredibly convenient. Cafés, street food, night markets, and historic landmarks are all at your doorstep — yet the hotel itself is quiet and peaceful, a true oasis in the middle of the city’s energy.
Breakfast: Now, let’s talk breakfast — specifically, the pho. I’m someone who wouldn’t typically reach for a steaming bowl of noodles first thing in the morning, but I have to say, this changed my perspective. The broth was rich and aromatic, the beef perfectly tender, and the herbs fresh and vibrant. It was honestly one of the best bowls of pho we had on the entire trip — and we tried a lot. The rest of the breakfast selection was also excellent, with both local and Western options, fresh fruit, juices, and great Vietnamese coffee.
Overall: Le Premier Hotel is a perfect example of how attention to detail, sincere service, and a prime location can come together to create a truly memorable stay. It’s not a five-star luxury hotel, but it doesn’t need to be — the experience feels far more personal and genuine. Whether you’re visiting Hanoi for the first time or returning to explore more of the city, I wouldn’t hesitate to...

I can’t rave about this hotel enough! My family of five stayed here for 7 days, and our only regret was having to leave.
Everything was outstanding — from the warm welcome and attentive front desk, to the daily housekeeping, spotless rooms and bathrooms, delicious buffet breakfast, and the unforgettable pho at the reasonably priced Viet Kitchen (5⭐ on Google). The quiet neighborhood and the unbeatable central location in the Old Quarter made exploring the city a breeze.
We booked two rooms for our family. After over five hours of research as there are so many hotels, we followed the strong 5⭐ Google reviews). While it was slightly more expensive than other hotels in the area, it was absolutely worth every penny. The service here is on another level — genuine warmth from the staff, friendly chats with the general manager, and thoughtful little touches that make you feel truly valued. Who opens the door for you whenever you leave? Who walks out to see you off when you check out? Let Premier Hotel does. Even my 10-year-old son kept saying how amazing the hotel was!
If you want to experience:
Top-quality hospitality Fantastic Vietnamese food Afternoon tea with a taste of Vietnamese snacks and 🥭 🍍 🍈 🍉 Relaxing massage services (all with 5-star Google ratings)
…then this is the place for you.
We decided to skip the pool and gym and had zero regrets.
We used the taxi service 🚕 to and from the hotel. Upon departure, we were sent off by multiple staff members with warm smiles and heartfelt goodbyes — something you rarely experience elsewhere.
Every morning, I requested hot water and lemon water without sugar and every morning they provided this with breakfast. This is only a taste of the quality of service at Le Premier.
Le Premier Hotel & Rooftop may be a boutique property, but don’t let its size fool you — it delivers all the amenities and charm of a true 5 ⭐ hotel at a very reasonable price that is only 1 year old!
Highly, highly...
Read moreThis is our second time in Hanoi, staying in the Old Quarter. Le Premier Hotel is exceptional. The staff are incredibly attentive in ensuring our stay was comfortable and as expected.
We arranged a walking food tour in the Old Quarter and day trip to Ninh Binh through the hotel’s concierge. In fact, they reached out to me after I booked my stay to arrange any transportation or other amenities. Once connected with them, they were informative and kept me up to date with confirmations and clarifications. They even helped us arrange airport transport at our next destination. Their service was simply superb.
Rooms were clean and well maintained. The hotel’s restaurant was very good. Breakfast buffet was enjoyable, with afternoon tea service included. The dinner menu, while more expensive than outside in the neighbourhood, was still an excellent value for hotel prices. Most dishes were under $10 CDN.
Their beef noodle soup (pho bo) is an absolute must have. The broth is clean and clear, with a deep richness in its balance of beef essence and spices. We had pho bo around the city, and the one at Le Premier is still one of the best we had on this trip. It was a bonus treat that they serve it as part of their breakfast buffet. Do not miss.
Finally, the Luxe rooftop bar is a gem. Situated on the 9th floor with clear views of Hoan Kiem lake and the bustling traffic intersections that is so characteristic of Hanoi and HCM. The bartender staff were engaging and friendly, and take their craft seriously. Their 2 for 1 happy hour is a great deal. Night caps at the rooftop bar was a fantastic way to wind down fun and hectic days in Hanoi, watching the traffic stream by while the neon landscape lights up the skyline.
Special thanks to Miss Lily, Hoa, Howard and their colleagues for making our stay a very memorable one. We have two kids and both want to come back not just to Hanoi, but they insist on staying at Le Premier. For us, that’s a stamp...
