This is local market. I noticed that I wrote the review with 1 star a few years before Lol. I think bad thing happened nhe Lol. Now the April 2025. As the results, I ceme here a lot. I cannot count how many Lol. Anyway it's good market as local near the center of the town. ===Previous Review=== I came to this market by mortorbike, but the old guy who working at the parking refused me to park, because I'm not Vietnamese. It happend at the parking on Nguyen Huu Cau side. I recommend to park your mortorbike at the other place. === Previous review=== I'm writing this on October 2019, It's no more local market. It looks like local, but the price became very high comparing to the other market. It may be because of the location. Anyway, if you wanna come to real local market, better to go further. ===Previous review === It's local market. I think it's nearest local market from center of HCMC. They have many kinds of goods similar to Ben Thanh market. I think they don't over charge much as Ben Thanh Market. So you should be able to get something cheaper here. I think these days, a lot of foreigner lives even around here, so some people working in this market speak English. So may be it's going to be like Ben Thanh market near future.

Right, so I’m wandering around Saigon & stumble into this market—what a place! It’s like a sensory overload of the best kind. Imagine this: I’m just minding my own business, looking at some fruit, when this cheeky old woman practically grabs my arm and thrusts a spoonful of her homemade chili paste at me. Now, I’m thinking, “Oh, this is going to be a disaster.” But no, it’s actually amazing—spicy enough to make me question my life choices, but brilliant. I end up chatting with her for a while, and she’s laughing like she’s just told the world’s best joke. Next thing I know, I’m leaving with a jar of chili paste and a smile on my face. This place isn’t just a market; it’s a full-on experience. It’s chaotic, it’s vibrant, and it’s exactly the kind of place where you’ll get an unexpected story—or in my case, a jar of chili paste and a new friend.

Busy Vietnamese market. Note: Similar to other Vietnamese market in very busy area, if you are claustrophobic, don’t go too deep inside. There are wet market area, food area with seatings, various vendors selling everything under the Sun. It’s hard to describe, you need to experience it yourself. A few tips: There are parking areas for motorbike. Doesn’t really have any space for car parking. Food area have limited space. You can sit at one vendor eating various food from the whole area as long as you buying something at where you are sitting. You don’t need to finish one, go to another vendor to enjoy the next dish. Most signage are in Vietnamese so if you don’t know what you are looking for. 👆👉👇👈 works 😊

I go every night for some Pho. The lady opposite Kim Lan Jewellery I've found is the best she has yellow chopsticks on her tables and red or blue stools . She's open from 17:00 till past midnight or when the food runs out! I live in Sai Gon so I've had a fair bit of Pho. The odd Vietnamese person I've introduced there has also given it the wow factor . The market is good for ripe tomatoes, fruit and loose or prepared nuts . There are different food outlets during the day. They sell a green drink during the day at some places. It's pulverized pennywort. Just enter pennywort in Google translate and show it to them. It tastes ok and is very good for you . The food outlet next to the Pho lady has green chopsticks on her tables but the food they sell is like dish water . The locals like it however as they are...
