The question you maybe wondering...Why is it cheap? Simple, the building is old/original retro. Well maintained but has wear and tear of decades of use. Well designed and built originally, the sound from the railway station and surrounding major through roads is minimal. The location is great. Easy walk to and from the railway, or basic off street parking is available. Easy walk to explore or get supplies from the supermarket etc A practical overnight stop over. Or inexpensive warm (posting in Autumn) shelter if wanting to stay a few days and explore the area cheaply. IMHO there are two kinds of "cheap motel", the stingy, kind with mediocre, underpaid staff, often offsite...or the Clifton Motel kind, which is clearly a family run, thoughtful "my home is your home" style of ownership. Mina is a friendly, polite and thoughtful hostess. We had to check in late, our journey was unexpectedly delayed further and Mina was lovely about everything. We arrived tired, to a warm, welcoming room. A sanctuary against the wet and cold. Clean, tidy. Practical layout. (Edited to add photos of complimentary breakfast. )

A very food transit place to stay, great location. Rooms are very quiet and mostly in the back with parking g space provided. The room was impeccable although carpet a bit shabby. Great comfortable bed. The manager was most helpful as well. Only downside was wifi didn't work and since it was after hours unable to reach support.

Curtains short and light on all night, shower curtain too short(wet bathroom floor). Bed spread had long hair on it. Replaced and found another on the pillow. Fan or compressor started around ~10pm - 4am. From reverberation inside the room it sounded like truck idling outside the room

Easy walk to explore or get supplies from the supermarket etc

A practical overnight stop over.
