PUTRID! The only decent thing about this accommodation was the location. Sadly everything else was disgusting and even when we informed staff about the issues we encountered when we arrived and were informed they would 'look into' these issues, nothing had been done about it our entire week long stay. This is surprising as housekeeping had clearly been in our room even leaving notes thanking us for our cleanliness yet they failed to clean our room to a decent standard of hygiene. Numerous issues we encountered (some of which are shown in the horrifying photos attached) include (but are not limited to): - Big stains on the carpets throughout the apartment - A musty and very unpleasant stench throughout the apartment and whole level - Vents in the bathroom look as if they haven't been cleaned in decades, the build up is disgusting as shown in the photo - Sand and stains on bedsheets (we had not been to the beach and so obviously the sheets had NOT been changed from the previous tenants) - Dirty cutlery - Used soap from previous tenant (or however many tenants back as it looked ancient) left in shower/tub. We politely asked for this to be removed and were told housekeeping would look into it, but instead of removing it they left the old dirty bar of soap and TOOK OUR NEW BAR OF SOAP which was still in the packaging - Both showers were putrid and had not been cleaned, buildup of mildew as shown in photo, we asked them to clean it and nothing was done about this - NO FREE WIFI which was advertised when booking. The accommodation LIED about this and we discovered that you actually had to pay a ridiculous amount for very slow wifi, around $60 at an additional cost for a limited amount of time/data Overall we were extremely disappointed in both the quality of our stay, the service (or rather lack of service) and poor treatment which we received. Our genuine complaints and concerns which we politely raised and were told would be addressed were blatantly ignored. I would strongly stress to anyone to AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!

Pros: A nicely renovated apartment with tasteful interior decor. Great sea view from the balcony. Spacious rooms and bathrooms with comfortable beds. Cons: I would say the downsides are mainly the fault of the people managing the apartment I.e Gold Coast Holiday Rentals. The check in and check out is a 15 mins walk at another building , and not within the same building as the apartment. Which to me is quite silly and highly inconvenient if you don’t drive and have a lot of luggage. Also if you drive, take note that there is no parking or waiting area for you to stop to collect your keys for check in. Checking out is at the same separate building, not within the apartment building. The lobby on our floor (6th floor) is also very smelly. Plus they only provide 1 miserable packet of laundry powder and dishwashing liquid, even though we are staying for 8 nights. Any additional packet is chargeable. They expect us to clear our trash but don’t provide any trash bags. The floor was also extremely dirty and we could not walk bare feet at all. Had to wear our bedroom slippers which fortunately we brought along! Lastly we had a 3 bedroom apartment. Only 2 bedrooms had an air con / heater. Overall verdict? I won’t stay here again. There are plenty of great sea view apartments that offer better service from what I’ve experienced. I’ve been to Gold Coast for holidays 3 times.

A Disappointing Experience at The Moroccan** I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at The Moroccan with four other families, and I feel compelled to share our thoughts. While the location has potential and the surroundings are lovely, the overall experience was marred by outdated rooms, a lack of proper pest control, and neglected gardens that desperately need attention. The most disappointing aspect of our stay was the treatment we received from the general manager, Ricardo. From the moment we checked in, his demeanor was unwelcoming and dismissive. Despite our polite inquiries and concerns about our accommodations, he responded with indifference and even outright lies. It was disheartening to feel as though our voices were not heard, especially as we were a group of five families who had hoped for a pleasant getaway. The combination of the hotel's physical state and the poor management left a sour taste in our mouths. We felt that our hard-earned money was not well spent, and we will certainly not be returning to The Moroccan in the future. To anyone considering a stay here, I strongly advise you to think twice. Save your money and look for a place that values its guests and maintains its facilities. A little respect and care can go a long way, and unfortunately, we found neither during our stay.

We are 3 moms with 3 small kids booked and fully paid for this apartment. This GCHR Morrocan staff later charged us 165 Aud for a small mistake that needs maximum 40 Aud and less than 1 hour to solve.

This is the first time ever we booked an apartment. Maybe there is thing we did not know, we need instruction.

We emailed them but they blocked us so we can not ask about it!

We feel extremely unhappy, unfair and feel like being throat cut by a small mistake. They charged unacceptable high money like eating on customers’ heads!

They place themselves the one who can charge as much as they want without acceptable standard and do not care about customers’ feelings!

I can call the bank to do dispute but will not do that. I let GCHR eat the money cruelly so that so they will meet bad things in life!

If you being harsh with customers, you are the one who loose more! Remember customers have more choices. Customers also have friends, relatives, colleagues, friends on Facebook..... Besides, It is annoying to grab the keys from a distant office to get into this apartment!

Read the reviews on their Facebook page, almost customers say GCHR do misleading advertising, rude and very terrible with customers!

Ai đi Gold Coast tránh xa cái apartment hay khách sạn nào có chữ GCHR hay GCHR Morrocan nha! 😡😡😡

Shabby, noisy and uncomfortable. We stayed for 10 nights. We asked for a refurbished room on an upper floor after I read some bad reviews after booking. I wish I'd checked first because I would have stayed elsewhere!! On check-in, we were told we had a room on level 2. Not what we asked for. I asked if other rooms were available and was told there was not but that our room was "a nice apartment". I asked if it had been refurbished and was told again that it was "a nice apartment". On arriving at our room, we found it to be sparsely decorated and dated with old, dirty and shabby furniture. One leg was about to fall off the coffee table and we had to fix the extending dining table. It looked like the dining table and kitchen benches hadn't been wiped because I could see marks. The beds were comfortable enough but our king was just two smaller beds pushed together with a noticeable gap down the middle. The beds all had wheels on tile floors, meaning the bed rolled all over the place when you got in, out or moved. The lounge suite was dated, dirty and very uncomfortable and the arm of the couch was loose and will probably come off soon if someone leans on it. The apartment was very noisy. We couldn't leave the doors or windows open because of the street noise and loud cars and motorbikes raced past most nights and trucks in the early mornings. We were awoken very early most mornings by the recycled bottles being emptied and the rubbish trucks emptying and dropping the big metal bins out the back. It was far from relaxing. We also had to remove a cockroach from the bathroom. The outdoor pool was too cold but the spa was nice. The indoor pool was shabby with holes in the roof, missing tiles and peeling paper. One good thing was the location. So close to the town centre, restaurants and shops. When we checked out, we were not asked how our stay was. I guess they must be used to unhappy customers after speaking to others we came across in the pool etc.who were also disappointed with their rooms. My parents, who were travelling with us had a really nice room on level 14, but it's not worth the gamble of getting a horrible room like we did. Do yourself a favour,...
