MATS is a true gem, run by the incredible Mathis family. From the moment we arrived, their warm and friendly hospitality made us feel right at home. They were always attentive, quickly addressing any questions we had, which made our stay nothing short of fantastic. The staff was genuinely friendly and attentive, creating a relaxing atmosphere that we really appreciated. One of the highlights was definitely the breakfast buffet, featuring a wonderful selection of delicious local produce that set a lovely tone for each day. The hotel itself is beautifully presented, with every detail thoughtfully considered. Our apartment was exceptional—well-appointed and comfortable, providing everything we needed for a perfect stay. The wellness area, with its stunning pool and sauna, was a fantastic addition, allowing us to unwind and recharge. Location-wise, MATS is ideally situated. You can ski almost to the doorstep or hop on the bus right outside. In the summer, the area transforms into a paradise of lush hiking trails and picturesque lakes. The fresh mountain air and breathtaking views made our outdoor adventures unforgettable. As we left, we felt rejuvenated and completely satisfied, just as one should after a perfect holiday. We are already looking forward to returning to Lech am Arlberg and to MATS, both in...
Read moreSpent two amazing nights here. The Mats is located a short 5 minutes walk from the center of Lech (although if you are lazy their's a bus stop exactly in front of the hotel entrance). Inside the hotel has a modern yet cozy feel. It is very well maintained as if it had just opened. The rooms are pretty good size with big windows that will give you a very nice view on the mountains. My only negative point I will say is that, like others have said, the rooms get a little warm at night. The spa is really nice, the small pool has some interesting features (changing light colors, water jets, bubbles...) but the best thing is the breathtaking view on the Omeshorn. The relaxing area with its lounge chairs and the same breathtaking view is also very nice. The hotel was apparently close to full when we went there but it was still very quiet, the first evening we arrived we spent a good hour in the spa without seeing everyone. The next day it was "more crowded" with two other people. Finally the breakfast is simply amazing. The buffet doesn't look big when you see it but it is delicious, you can also ask for eggs made the way you like and the most fabulous thing is a juice maker at the entrance where you have a nice selection of fresh fruits to choose from.||In summary I'd really recommend this place,...
Read moreThis hotel is modern in design but yet has a cosy feeling. It is also very new but you feel the old charm of the Alpine area. The sauna/pool area is very relaxing and has a wonderful view of the mountains looking down at you. Breakfast was satisfactory and offers everything you need to start the day. The beds....let me tell you that they spared no expense on the comfort of the beds. It was so nice sleeping on those beds. Restaurants for lunch and dinner are only 5-10 mins walk away. The walk through the town is so beautiful and romantic. Lech offers excellent quality of food and service however, please keep in mind it is a high end area. The owners are very service orientated and at the same time give their guests a close family atmosphere feeling. Lech is not only famous for winter skying but also has lots to offer for people who love the outdoors and going up the mountains just being close to heaven. A funny note: in lech behind the old church is a public bathroom that is at first not noticeable because it is inside a old building but..you have to experience this WC when you are in Lech. I never thought that going to a public toilet could be so interesting. (it was like going to a car wash) very clean but out of...
