The hotel is very conveniently located for the old town and hence all the main attractions are only a few minutes walk away, this also applies to bars, restaurants, supermarkets, pharmacies, basically everything. The location is absolutely fabulous and the price of the rooms is a bargain for Salzburg. Staff were awesome, really friendly and made us feel welcome. Although our room was very small it was nice and clean. There was a safe in the room, and also a fan, but not much else. There was no kettle with tea & coffee, nor a fridge, but they offer free tea & coffee on the ground floor in the breakfast room up until 9pm. This may or may not be a problem for you depending on whether you want a hot drink in the evening after dinner. There was no air conditioning in the room, it was very hot in the night and we found it very difficult to sleep (it had been a hot day, nearly 30 degrees c), the fan supplied was not good enough. Lucky we only stayed one night. The bathroom was also very small, but was clean which was good enough for me. Shower gel, soap and hair dryer were supplied. The hotel has free WiFi but it was rubbish. It kept disconnecting us and even when we could connect it was really slow. Breakfast buffet was delicious and there were a nice range of hot and cold foods. They offer scrambled and fried eggs fresh to order! If you are driving then it might be a bit of an inconvenience. There is no parking at the hotel, but they offer a discount at a car park around 10 minutes walk away for 20 or 25 euros (I forgot which) for 24 hours. This may be a problem if you have a lot of luggage and also if its raining. The hotel is located in a restricted area within a pedestrian district, the hotel can supply you with a code to lower the bollard that blocks entrance to the road directly in front of the hotel so you can drive and stop in front of the hotel to offload luggage, but you cannot park there. This is what we did, however it was a nightmare getting out again as the roads leading out of the restricted area have lots of pedestrians, and lots of restaurants and bars had laid out tables and chairs in the middle of the road blocking it. People were upset as we tried to leave as they had to move for us to pass. Furthermore the roads are very narrow, lucky we had a small car, it would be very troublesome if we had an SUV. Would I recommend this hotel? Yes I would. However think about it carefully if you are visiting with a car. Also think twice if no air conditioning is a problem for you and you are visiting in hot season.

This hotel is a hidden diamond!!! Stefanie and Dominick at the front desk took care of our every need. They both recommended wonderful sights, small hikes, delicious local restaurants, and even helped us plan out the timing of all our visits. Our friend loved the chocolates they had in the front desk candy dish and we came back from an afternoon of adventuring to a small dish in our room with her favorite flavors! So thoughtful! I also cannot say enough good things about their breakfast!!! It was so delicious- I will forever dream of their cream puffs, made to order eggs/waffles, and even homemade jam/butter spreads! If you're looking for a Salzburg hotel-- stop now because you've found it!! Room was clean and neat, included smart TV, and the location is within a 10-20 minute walk from most sites. Thank you Hotel Trumer Stube, Stefanie, and Dominick for a wonderful few nights stay! We will definitely be back!

During our stay in Salzburg, a part of our recent adventure through Bayern und Oberösterreich, the Cityhotel Trumer Stube was our home. Located just off Linzer Gasse near the Salzach River, our hotel was convenient to all of the Salzburg sights, shopping and dining. Our room was comfortable and attractive. It even had a view of St. Sebastain! Our host, Stephanie Fleischhaker, greeted us on our arrival and, with her two colleagues, Igor and Dominic, made sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. Each morning we were treated to a wonderful breakfast buffet, plus eggs cooked your way, or a delicious waffle. I would recommend Cityhotel Trumer Stube – Salzburg! Plus, a tip-o-the-Tilley to Rick Steves!

This is a very nice hotel in a perfect location. We spent two nights here and we were very impressed with the property. like most European hotels, the rooms are a little small, but they're well appointed, the beds are comfortable, the rooms are clean, and the staff was super helpful. The included morning breakfast is very good,| On the first morning I was disappointed there weren't hot items, and then I realized you could request scrambled eggs, fried eggs, and waffles, which I did, and they produced them almost immediately, and they were excellent. The location is close to all the shops and restaurants, the river and many historical sites. We hit them all. Salzburg is great city and this hotel in great place to stay. One small issue was that our room faced the back of the hotel and it wasn't a particularly attractive view and the tim roof on building Next to our room made sleeping in the rain difficult -if we wanted to keep our window open - which we did. I would suggest requesting a room on the street side. And there's no coffee/tea/hot water maker in the room or air conditioning, but there is a mini...
