Okay beer selection on the whole. Staff were initially quite friendly and pleasant, yet drinking on the job. Normally this would be no issue/encouraged however the manager/owner got quite aggressive towards customers the more he drunk. Barman/owner was clearly more interested in flirting with female customers or letting them behind the bar than he was in people trying to order. Then he got upset with me for being sat in the wrong seat (his pub, his choice where he puts chairs) and once more for asking him to explain the difference between two beers, saying I was “wasting his time”. Given this pub markets itself on its beer variety, this is quite an odd complaint. Then, completely unprovoked, he proceeded to launch a serious of insults and slurs, implying that I was dumb, uneducated and also gay. When I didn’t rise to what seemed like him trying to start a fight, he insisted I leave before even finishing my drink, then genuinely begged me to leave him a 1 star google review.

He rarely shows up, but when he does, he creates chaos, yelling at both employees and customers, and even kicking people out for raising concerns about the beer or the service. During my last visit, he had a loud outburst, accusing staff of "stealing tips," which was bizarre and upsetting, considering tips are meant for them. It gave the impression that he's been misappropriating them himself. It's deeply unfair to the team who run this place so well despite his absence and disrespect. I hope someone holds him accountable. The workers...
Read moreGreat bar, slightly small, but with a homely atmosphere. Their selection of beers is extensive, they serve loads of Belgian beers from the tap or in bottles. If you like beer, this is your locality! You will love coming repeatedly to try everything they have. The prices are fair, though it's recommended to ask before you order a bottle, because some (mostly the large ones) are pricey. The music is relaxed, and there is not a lot of space to dance, so it's more for conversation.
Also, the bar in blue directly opposite is recommended. It's the same concept, but with beers from all over the world. Here though, the music is a bit different and you...
