Never had such tasteless Mexican food. We visited because it is quite famous in Salzburg but do not recommend it. We had the nachos with guacamole to share and apart from being quite small portion, the guacamole was completely tasteless. My friends ordered tacos (apparently ok), and I went for an enchilada, which were literally some chewy tortillas SWIMMING in a spicy sauce, with a tasteless cheese and a few pieces of tasteless chicken. For drinks we ordered ‘coquito’ and again not enough flavour for a 12€ drink! Of course we didn’t want to risk it anymore and we didn’t order desserts. The food (main dishes) took ages to arrive. The place was kind of pretty, but there was a flow of cold wind coming from somewhere and made the time there a bit unpleasant. I will most likely not go back again to this place, I was expecting at least nice and tasty food but everything was just tasteless and lacking flavour.

A great little Mexican place in Salzburg to try some different food! It's a welcome change to the regular cuisine there and although there is a good effort to expand into South American cuisine it seems a bit modified to suit the Austrian palate. The prices are pretty high considering the portions and the food seemed consistently under-seasoned. The salsas provided with the meals were very good but seemed to be how they accounted for the lack of seasoning, I would recommend this if someone was looking for Mexican but there are definitely some better restaurants around the city. The staff were fantastic however and the young lady who served us was very helpful, the food just didn't blow my mind.

Great vibe, with some good but not great Mexican food, and an authentic vibe. Tacos were quite tasty, but a little plain. Margaritas were ok, but as people in our party commented, down better at home - so this was a shame in a Mexican restaurant! Service was ok, but a little abrupt, probably from being very busy on a Friday night. Wall posters are super cliche if you’re a bit picky and annoyed by annoying life affirmations as decorations, but otherwise some cool paintings. Overall worth a visit to break up the monotony of schnitzel, sausage and Italian food!

We paid for food we did not order... On the recommendation of a friend we chose this restaurant to celebrate my birthday. The food overall was nice, nothing overly special. The atmosphere was nice, though a little bright and tables quite close together - it seems to be a small establishment. However, our issue arose when the was a problem with communication. My husband ordered a main from the specials menu and the waitress entered a great conversation about it. I did not understand the conversation as I do not speak German. However, afterwards my husband said she was saying something about it being a starter. We didn't fuss - a starter for around 16Eur should be big enough to be a main, right? Our mains arrived. My husband's was tiny - the size of a starter. He was moving some of his food around as the dish looked like nothing he had envisioned. As he did so I spotted a lot of meat (we're vegetarian). He called the waitress over and suggested that this was not what he had ordered. He asked for the menu to read again the description of the dish and that's when we discovered the miscommunication in the ordering - my husband had indeed ordered the vegetarian main, the waitress thought he had ordered the meat starter (we'd already had a shared starter). The waitress then went on to explain that she had told him all about the dish, naming it by name. We are not Mexican, we are not familiar with Mexican food beyond the normal dishes everyone knows. So talking about a dish using it's title/name means nothing to us. Mistake made. The correct dish was made super fast and brought to him... good service, as it should be. I did feel a tad uncomfortable, however, watching the discussion about the situation between the waitress and restaurant owner. First it started in the kitchen where they could see me watching. Then it moved closer to the entrance of the restaurant, further away yet still within my eyesight. It's hard not to know that people are discussing you when they keep looking your direction... When it came to paying, things took a real down-turn... the starter that we had neither ordered nor could have eaten, being vegetarian, was included on our bill. Being meant to be a celebration for me, my husband paid the bill without fuss as he didn't want to upset me. Had the waitress or owner approached us at any time during our visit and apologised for the mix up and asked us to meet halfway and pay half the price of the starter, we would have obliged - after all mistakes happen. Sneaking it onto our bill... well, that's just unprofessional and disrespectful. Thankfully the cheesecake that my husband had ordered as dessert but never received (we waited a good 20 minutes for it) wasn't on the bill. The restaurant received from us 6-7Eur for a starter we never ordered. In return they have lost any repeat business we would have given them, we will not taking friends who come to visit us in Salzburg to eat there, and whenever asked by friends also living in Salzburg about restaurants, I shall never be recommending this restaurant and shall recount our experience. The restaurant received 6-7Eur from us for a dish we did not order and in return they will lose all our future business and probably the business of other non-Austrian friends living in Salzburg. Sadly around Salzburg if you do not speak with a local dialect, you're deemed a tourist and treated poorly as someone who is only visiting, not someone who will return repeatedly. I hoped that a restaurant owned by a Mexican would have had a different...

Now, this was a disappointment. The restaurant is nice (without being anything special), but the food was quite bland. The service was friendly, but somewhat sloppy.

In detail: A "baby back rib taco" is one rib (with the bone still in) placed onto two flat soft tacos. Nothing else but deco salad. I unfortunately forgot to take a picture - I hope you can imagine how sad this was looking... Then the menu said the quesadillas come with 3 difference salsas. I even asked the waitress if one of these is hot (as I like it spicy and the answer was yes). Three min. later we got the quesadillas - without any salsa. After asking for it we got a tiny one portion (for two people) of 2 salsas...After finishing it, we got more of the same two salsas. Not a big problem. But do not advertise what you do not deliver.

The rib was quite nice. But that was it. A single rib with bone in it. Not a "rib taco". The veg quesadillas were bland and boring without the salsa. Oh, and I totally forgot the guacamole. It was not seasoned at all! Not even salt. I am not sure if this was done by intention. I think not. The "brown bean cream" guacamole-like stuff (sorry, forgot the name) was interesting but definitely not for everybody.

Would I go there again: Maybe in a year to see if they have improved. Otherwise no.
