As a former restaurant founder, I’ve never been so repulsed by another fellow restaurant owner or chef??. No amount of perceived level of success should allow Fabio to treat potential customers with so much disrespect.
We walked in and asked if the empty tables outside were reserved. We got hit with “only inside, you either take it or not”. At this point we already felt unwelcome but decided to give the over stressed guy a chance. Once we sat, I was in the midst of asking the waitress to let us know if we can later be moved should anything become available. Then Fabio’s runs over and yells “I told them no!” And then comes and arrogantly says “let me introduce myself, I am Fabio himself, I told you no, so let’s cut it” and pointed us out. I wonder what may be going on in his life that’s so bad to bring out such an ego. Hope he’s okay!?
Shame on the restaurant chef/ owner, and most importantly we send our condolences to the poor employees. What a sad, awfully dictatorship environment to work for. Such restaurant owners must feel they deserve some kind of special worship to lack common human courtesy. What have you the right to degrade two customers for asking for a better seat? Something must have gone wrong in your head.
I may say, this is not a route to permanent success, and the most distasteful flavor to any business.
We pity you Fabio....

I celebrated my birthday at Fabios on Saturday, August 30th, together with my guests. From the moment I entered, the reception was cold and impersonal. After joining my guests, we ordered drinks, but the overall atmosphere remained distant.
Later in the evening, I politely asked the waitress about the closing time, since she mentioned that the restaurant would close at midnight, even though it is officially listed as 1 a.m. Shortly afterwards, the manager came to my table, introduced himself as the “boss,” and told me in a harsh and confrontational manner that if he says the restaurant closes, then it closes – regardless of the official time. His tone was unnecessarily aggressive and disrespectful!!
What hurt me most was the feeling of not being welcome as a Black person. The way I was treated came across as discriminatory, which overshadowed my entire birthday celebration.
Although my birthday cake (which I had brought) was served and a birthday song was sung, it felt forced and inauthentic. After cutting the cake, we decided to leave.
Overall, my impression is that non-white guests are not welcome at this restaurant. The behavior of the management and the general atmosphere felt disrespectful and...
Read moreWe recently dined at Fabio’s in Vienna, a high-end spot known for its Italian-inspired cuisine. Despite having a reservation, we waited around 20–30 minutes for our table, which was slightly disappointing. The restaurant was bustling and lively, but this added a certain loudness to the otherwise pleasant atmosphere.
The interior ambiance is sleek and stylish, exuding a “dress to impress” vibe, which fits the upscale setting perfectly. However, it might not be ideal if you’re looking for a quieter dining experience.
As for the food, we ordered the Filetto di Manzo and Filetto di Branzino Selvatico con Fregola ai Frutti di Mare. For sides, we chose the Verdure alla Griglia, Spinaci, and Patate al Rosmarino. While everything was well-prepared and flavorful, it didn’t stand out as exceptional considering the price range. The presentation and quality were on par with expectations for a premium restaurant, but there was no wow factor that set it apart.
Overall, Fabio’s offers a chic dining experience with good food, but the value-for-money might not satisfy everyone. It’s a decent choice for special occasions if you don’t mind the lively atmosphere and are willing to pay for the...
