However the guesthouse is in a busy street stuffed with pubs and bars, it is really quiet and safe. The room and the shower was spotless, however the drain was starting to gum up when we were there. The wifi was reliable and fast, the staff was friendly, helpful and always smiling. The beds were comfy and room was spacious. The historical sites are pretty close, so as the riverfront where you can easily find good restaurants and have an awesome fish amok.||Giant Ibis station is 10 mins walk from here, but be prepared if you come with a night bus from Siem Reap, you will arrive sooner than the schedule said, and motobikers are waiting for you to snitch your phone or other valuables. A friend and I booked in asking for 2 rooms. It was $18 a night. However, this was a room with no window The guy on the counter was very friendly. The room must be one of the worst over stayed in. As expected no window, filthy marks and screw holes on one of the walls. Old furniture and nowhere to hang your clothes. The bed was comfortable and AC very good. One loose cold tap that could deliver no more than a trickle. The shower was stone cold. This hotel may well be up there by Camboian standards but compared to the western world it was very poor. Europe Guesthouse is located near streets with quite a few bars, but it was rather quiet in our rooms during our stay there.||The corridors of the rooms were slightly dark and dusty, but it was alright as the rooms were pretty clean.||The owner was very welcoming and friendly and passionately gave us a few good recommendations as to the good food, and where to find it. He was also very flexible with our selection of rooms since there were empty rooms at that time.||Staff was also very helpful and friendly, warmly helped my parents with their baggage up the stairs to our rooms, and other small little requests.||Value for money, and nice...
