J3 Pizza — Restaurant in Lunenburg

Excellent food and customer service! After a long bicycle ride with my daughter and son on the Rum Runners Trail from Halifax arriving at our Motel in Lunenburg at 9 pm we had to look for a place still open to order food. Very tired and hungry we were worried this might not be possible. We called J3 Pizza and placed our large order of food to satisfy each of our food preferences and appetites. It was around 935pm when we finalized our order and J3 Pizza was closing at 10pm! At first John (owner) said we would have to pick up but because they were cliding soon, when I explained we just cycled in from Halifax he quickly said he would make it happen! We were happy to hear this because we were in no shape to walk there and back after the long ride and in the heat at that. The pizzas, doairs and greek salad were delivered by 1005pm and John personally delivered it to us. We were greeted by a very friendly and understanding man. John said he made our pizza with the works extra special. During the payment process John took the time and had a nice conversation. Also, on top of the amazing customer service, exceeding expectations, the food was amazing...the best pizza and donairs we have had. Out of the 2 pizzas, donairs and Salad, only three slices remained. This left over was equally delicious and served us well during a break on our return trip back to Halifax the next day. Don’t waste your money here we ordered the seafood platter and it was underwhelming to say the least overpriced food and overpriced drinks. It cost six dollars for a little tiny vanilla milkshake and six dollars for a root beer float, which was twice the size of the milkshake yet the vanilla milkshake was the same price. The french fries were soggy and disgusting not crispy at all. The platter was not laid out in any sort of Presentable way it was just thrown on the plate I asked for ketchup they gave us ketchup that had been sitting in the sun for who knows how long just disgusting, customer care is not there again. Don’t waste your money go elsewhere.. we figured we would get a nice fresh Platter being that we were in Lunenburg right on the Atlantic Ocean, but the fish was tasteless a little tiny splinter of fish and a great big ball of dough which was greasy, I have never had french fries like I had there they were the most disgusting greasy soggy French fries I...

I rarely write reviews but this is the worst place I've ever been to.

They're "gluten free" pizza is it gluten free. Yes, the crust is but it's so cross-contaminated my spouse who has Celicas is now very sick. She was sure to mention that she did have a severe gluten intolerance but apparently that doesn't mean anything to this place.

The woman at the counter is exceptionally unpleasant, argumentative and resolves issues by yelling. Perhaps it's a language barrier but that's not how you do things.

The prices are insane, $50+ (including tip, which they didnt deserve) for a 12" pizza and a 9" pizza and 2 pepsi is insane. Yes, that's our fault for failing to understand the pricing on the jumble of the menu but still. The party of 4 with us paid $70-ish total for 2 pizzas and 2 donairs and drinks.

I will say the pizza is good and the view off the patio is very nice but the rest if the place is leaves a lot...
