We stayed at Ermitage du lac in mid August and the reservation was a breeze, note that if you’re booking through a third party the picture of the room might not be the one you get. Please when booking specify your preferences, I witnessed a woman yell at the receptionist because she “requested the balcony” but couldn’t provide proof of it, she went on to say she had priority over everyone because she had been there for over 8 times. I was waiting with a toddler and a 3 week old newborn while she blabbed and was rude to the poor receptionist (make receptionist who is actually a very helpful and outstanding person). I just can’t believe such people exist, so the only room with a balcony belonged to someone staying for 5 days (hello! that was us) and she demanded to have that room but thank God the receptionist gracefully stood his ground. Please don’t be a Karen, anyways while she looked for the email she knew she didn’t have (to show she requested a balcony even though it was common sense the she was to get a room with balcony) the receptionist apologized even though he had no fault and checked us in. It literally took less than 3 min and we were given our key card and instructions about the hotel. The hotel looks very nice and in great shape, I think it was recently renovated. It’s wheelchair and stroller accessible from beginning to end, they have underground parking (15$/day). I did see a lot of parents with kids and well with the scene my kids put up, it’s safe to say the hotel is newborn/ toddler friendly. The room was clean, great floor plan and well equipped for a short term stay. I liked the location of the hotel as it’s directly in the city but to the side so you don’t listen to the noisy people at night. The sanitation staff is really helpful and friendly. The breakfast is very mediocre but the cappuccino is delicious 😋 the pool is a. I’ve size and very clean, there’s a lifeguard on duty (depends if they wanna show up) and the water was murky (I guess from everyone’s sunblock). There’s a decent sized jacuzzi but the water is not hot but you still can chill there at night. I’d definitely return, my daughter enjoyed the pool and I loved our room and our view (pool view)/l hotel entrance. Great hotel at a great rate!

First time staying at Ermitage du Lac. In contrast or comparison to competitive properties locally, I say it ranks on par with the others and I can attest to that as we've stayed in most of the local village properties at one point or another. Can't speak to encountering many staff in which to interact with as accommodations are secondary to the skiing. From the several people that I have encountered, it's been pleasant and the staff have been friendly. Our accommodations included the deluxe King suite, which came equipped with obviously the king size bed and also a couch with a double pull out mattress. Our room came equipped with a push button fireplace, seating for two at a dining table, a small kitchen equipped with a mini fridge, a two burner stove, microwave along with pots/pans and utensils to cook small meals. The location is perfect if you're wanting to be close to the village. It only takes a minute or two to walk around the corner and enter up into the shops and suites that the area offers. There is near direct access to the Cabriolet which takes you to the base of the mountain. If I was to guess it might take you 90 seconds to get to the cabriolet from the front door of the hotel. Rooms and bedding were comfortable, nothing better or worse to compare to. All in all, a pleasant stay and when comparing prices for next year if it was to be on par with any of the other properties that it competes with, I'd have no qualms about staying here, just the same.

So easy to find, this hotel has it's own underground parking (at extra cost). The receptionist made us feel really welcome, took time to chat to us about our trip and gave restaurant recommendations. The breakfast was continental but there was ample to choose from. We had wrist bands on for this but took a tray and ended up taking our breakfast back to our room. There was bread, bagels, cereal, fruit, juices, pastries beverages, meats and cheese. Our room was on the ground floor and we could hear loud music well into the morning from nearby establishment. On mentioning it the next day to our friendly receptionist she told us if it happens again to call her. They can send security around to get them to turn it down. Apparently they are supposed to keep the windows shut but as it was hot they do sometimes open them and then the sound bounces off the lake. Our room was huge, it was actually more of a studio as had separate bedroom, bathroom with a kitchen area and large lounge/dining room. Beds were comfy too. Did take time out to enjoy the hot tub which was lovely and warm. Enjoyed our stay and would return.

We had a wonderful stay at Ermitage du Lac. ||Our room (one bedroom apartment) was perfect for us and our two daughters. A huge super king bedroom and a lovely lounge/dining/kitchenette with a sofa bed that was king size with a proper bed mattress. We had a balcony at either end - bedroom view of the resort and mountain and lounge view of the frozen lake.||The breakfast was continental, so no cooked options, but very substantial with four different freshly baked pastries/muffins, cereals, yoghurts, meat, cheese, bread, etc. and we never went hungry. You could eat in the breakfast area or bring your tray down from your room and take good up to your room. ||The hotel was a 2-3 minute walk from the Cabriolet bucket lift to the start of the pistes ( turn left out of the hotel rather than right round the longer road route) so very easy to get to the slopes. The hotel includes free ski valet so you can leave your skis at the slopes and not have to carry them to and fro. If you do want to, there are free ski lockers at the hotel too. And you can take the Voyageur run down to a short walk from the hotel if you want to ski back.||There is a small natural ice rink next to the hotel that is open 1-9pm and is free if you show your room key. You can also use bum whackers on their manmade slope, play ice hockey and toast marshmallows all for free.||The hotel has an excellent outdoor hot tub (pool!) with free use of towels. You can borrow robes at a charge to your room of $50 per robes that's immediately credited back to your room once you return them.||The skiing is brilliant, with 102 runs easily accessible from all areas. We usually did the two chairlifts to the top of the mountain rather than the bubble lift as it had longer queues and the chairs were just as quick. Ski school was excellent and we could do lots of the mountain in the 2.5 hours the girls were in lessons each morning and afternoon and easily get back in time.||The resort itself is lovely. We found that the restaurants were fairly pricy, particularly the wine, but they were all excellent. We particularly enjoyed O Wok, the Q G and the Maison de la crêpe. We loved the chocolate shop for pudding, particularly the chocolate fondue and the chocolate dipped ice creams - a choice of 16 chocolates, what's not to love?! We also adored the maple syrup taffy, a must-do near the bottom of the Cabriolet lift.||We hired our skis from skidelivery.ca who delivered to the hotel, were cheaper than the ski hire shops and provided an excellent service.||We had a brilliant ski holiday in Tremblant and very pleased we travelled from the UK for our week there. ||The team at Ermitage du Lac couldn't do enough for you and were all friendly and hospitable, just as all the people we met in...

Also wieder hinunter zur Reception.

Nice hotel, nice rooms, nice setting. Underground parking under the hotel is great, very convenient. The parking garage is warm (or at least seemed that way compared to the outside temperature). Downside is if you have a big or long vehicle it can be quite a challenge to maneuver due to the tight space. Elevators are close to parking with luggage carts available.||Breakfast was a huge disappointment. Skiers/snowboarders/outdoor enthusiasts NEED a good breakfast. Food was the same thing every day (cubed cheese, hard boiled eggs, rolled lunch meat, yogurt that you spooned onto your plate or bowl (gross, need individual yogurt cups), toast, bagels, jam, peanut butter, cream cheese. Mostly a COLD breakfast. The cereal choices were bran and corn flakes. That's it. No fun cereals for kids. Pre-packaged Quaker oatmeal was available. Would have preferred waffles and scrambled eggs, like many hotels serve (you know, a hot breakfast). ||The controversial croissants (see other reviews) were not actual croissants; rather, they were rectangular savory pastries that were the size of a deck of cards (maybe they had the classic crescent shaped croissants in the past, but I digress). Only spinach was available and you had to ask for them even though they were right there in a case (super weird and awkward) and they were cold. Coffee served at breakfast was horrible (no taste, weak). Only saving grace was the Keurig in the room.||Ermitage du Lac is located at the bottom of the resort. When I say "bottom" it's because the resort goes uphill. You have to walk up a fairly steep and long hill to get to the restaurants and shops along the way (there are stairs available). Just something to keep in mind. Food in the resort is, of course, overpriced and not that great.||HIGHLY recommend driving 20 minutes into town to the IGA grocery store (or the stores adjacent to it) and getting groceries for breakfast and lunch. Our rooms had a fridge and microwave. Only of the rooms had a stovetop (request one when you book if you want this). We did fine eating sandwiches, heating up soup in the microwave, and putting sourdough or French bread in it. Also bought cheese and chips to snack on, plus our own pastries for breakfast.||Hot tub needs painting.||Would we stay again? No, not worth it for...
