TLDR: good food, unprofessional service.
One my party ordered the smoked duck sausages, and when they arrived there was cheese inside and it did not taste very much like duck. These sausages are not supposed to contain cheese, so we asked the server if they put in the wrong order. He said the smoked duck sausages have cheese inside and that "it's on the menu like that". We ate anyway because we trusted the staff to know what they are talking about, but as we continued I became convinced somebody had screwed up. I showed the server the menu using phone and asked him to go talk to the kitchen. He came back and offered a round of drinks on the house because of the mistake; indeed, we got served the wrong sausages. To be clear, we are still being charged for the meal they messed up. We didn't want more drinks, so I asked them to refund the ones (two) we already had. He came back with the bill and only one beer was refunded. I asked him why, and he said "one mistake, one free beer".
Not a single apology this entire time, and as far as I'm concerned, three screw-ups. Wrong order punched in or taken down by the server. Server, having never tried the dish, incorrectly claimed that we were wrong and that the order was correct. (He later said he had never tried the dish so didn't know it was supposed to not have cheese in it ; thanks a lot guy, if you don't know just ask the kitchen) Offering compensation and then changing their mind after the fact.
Honestly, the food was pretty good. Too bad our server was a total dink and...
Read moreOur go-to place in Tremblant resort. I have always gone a few times every stay... But last time I was really disappointed (discusted) of what I saw. Even worse is that I have tried to write to them via their site, but no response (either they don't care or site is screened by employees). I'm sorry to use this platform to give my negative comments, but I can't understand how a restaurant makes its own beer to see that personnel do not respect Covid hygiene. I saw 6 workers in the kitchen... 3 wore their masks under their chin, and 3 didn't even have a mask. As for waitresses, they wair their masks part-time, and one of them (tall young black haired guy) wears it from entance to table... That's all... The only one that respected the mask was the bartender ( long-haired blonde). So I love this place. I have gone over 20 times in my life... but the none respect of the health measures... I guess I won't be ba k for a while. Again, I'm so sorry to use this platform, but you should have answered to me once you saw my comments on your own site... Now, I feel like your non response is not comforting that you care about...
Read moreThe food was fine; I only had the poutine but it was more than good enough. No one seemed to have an issue with the main meals.
The service was lacking, leaving us with empty water and beer glasses more often than I'd like.
The real reason we choose this pace was due it's status as a microbrewery. We sampled every one, expect for the stout and the Trappist. A single beer was passable (the current monthly, a double brown ale), with the rest being horribly disappointing. Their "Real Ale" was so thin, we joked it was just garbage water! Their white was also strangely yeasty and very out of style.
A group next to us actually left all their beer, they thought it was so poor. And to be clear, this is not inexpensive beer...
If you're thinking of hitting this pace to sample some more Quebec beers, I'd say skip it. There are an unlimited number of better Brew pubs in Quebec; you shouldn't waste your money on their swill.
If you're going for the food, your should be more than fine. Skip the desert, and just get something from one of the near by candy...
