My wife and I came to Tremblant for a much needed getaway... our first in many years away from our young children- we stayed in Tower II. While situated in an idyllic location at the foot of the pesdestrian village, this portoin of the hotel left little to be desired and was rather disappointing. Our room was too dimly lit, the carpeting was old and dirty, and the decor was anything but modern- an old murphy bed, outdated cabinets, dirty bath tub, musty brown sofa...it looked like the decor in my grandmother's old basement. It is evident that Tower 1 has all the upgraded rooms and amenities. The mattress on the murphy bed was so old, stained and had springs poking up. Probably the worst bed we had ever slept on in a hotel. Pillows were not fluffy or comforatble, too few offered. Sheets were ripped around the edges, and the comforter was stained. There was no duvet cover, but rather they had sandwiched the duvet in between 2 flat sheets, also ripped. When we requested fresh linens, we were told to come to the front desk (located in Tower 1), to get them ourselves. No one offered to bring them to us! There is no direct access to Tower 1 and guests are forced to use the underground parking garage to access Tower 1 and reception. Very inconvenient.
Upon arrival, we noted almost immediately that the toilet in our barthoom was malfunctioning. It did not flush properly, in some cases at all, and we were forced to use a plunger to try to clear it. Management was slow to respond and only came to address the issue the following day. We were informed that several other rooms were having similar issues. They entered our room to fix it while we were away for the day, but we were never informed if the work was completed.
We had very noisy neighbours, with adjoining doors being blocked off by chairs. At one point, the guests in the adjacent room tried to open the door! Within the first 15 minutes of settling into our room, the smell of marijuana from another room was evident- for a non-smoking hotel, this was unacceptable. After complaining about these issues, we were never offered a change of rooms.
Underground parking was very tight and cramped, and for anyone driving a larger vehicle it will be a struggle to fit into the space.
Our key cards worked fine for the hotel room, but to access the hotel after hours, and to get in and out of the parking garage was a challenge- the card readers did not work well.
This hotel does not offer complimentary breakfast or any type of room service, so be prepared to spend more $.
Management was slow to act and respond to requests, and upon check out, the clerk (Laeticia) seemed completely unphased or apologetic to our disappointing experience and our complaints. We were only offered compensation for the 2 nights of parking fees we incurred. We expected far more for the price paid in terms of amenities and service. Given the price of the room and all the issues we encountered, we will absolutely not be staying here again, nor will we recommend it to others. Gave 2 stars to account for the view and location. Aside from that, a very dissatisfying and overrated end to what was supposed to be a romantic weekend getaway. An absolute...
Read moreSkiing at Mont Tremblant was a Christmas gift to my son. While the skiing was great, Tour des Voyageurs 11 was a huge disappointment. Check-in was fine, parking fine, location great but our room and the lack of management response to our room was terrible. |The room looked okay at the start but my son walked into the bathroom to find two big holes in the wall where the towel rack was suppose to be. I noticed how dingy the carpet looked and there was a dark black stain. I contacted the front desk to explain only to hear oh, that’s too bad. I told the lady to make note of it so we won’t get charged.|I checked out the hot tub only to find an overflowing garbage can, plus cans and bottles all around the hot tub as the guest had no garbage disposal. I wasn’t going in there. Next day, same overflowing garbage.|We fell asleep around 10 pm only to be woken up by screaming and yelling in the hallway. This went on and off until 2 pm. Security never showed up. Beautiful ski day, came back at noon to have left over pizza and found a microwave that didn’t work. Cold pizza.|I went down to the front desk to discuss this and the person there, Julie said she would contact the manager. She said to send her pictures of the holes and the stain. I followed through. We never heard anything back. At check out, I spoke to another person who gave me a business card for Laetitia L, manager. I have emailed this person 2 times with no response. How’s that for customer service. It’s been 3 weeks. Oh, and the internet had one bar. |On top of that I hung my bathroom bag on the back of the door due to the lack of a towel rack. It’s big but I left without it. i explained numerous times room 374, tower 11, lost but all I get is an auto response saying they are still looking for the bag. I don’t believe it for a minute. I have stayed in this hotel before and it was fine. This time, I was embarrassed as it was a gift to my son and our room was like a 1 star motel room. I didn’t want to write such a bad review but after weeks of trying to reach out, I...
