La maison de la crêpe is an absolute must-try restaurant located in the heart of Mont Tremblant village. From the moment we stepped inside, we were greeted by the most hospitable and friendly staff. The restaurant itself is the perfect spot for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and the variety of crepes on the menu is truly impressive.
We were particularly impressed by the savoury crepes, which included delicious options like ham, cheese, and asparagus. These savoury crepes were cooked to perfection, with the perfect balance of flavors and textures. The ham and cheese crepe was a classic combination that was elevated by the addition of asparagus, and the sausage and apple sauce crepe was a unique and delicious twist on a traditional savoury crepe.
But the dessert crepes at La maison de la crêpe were equally as mouthwatering. We couldn't resist trying the chocolate and banana crepe, which was drizzled with a rich chocolate sauce and topped with slices of fresh banana. It was the perfect sweet treat to end a meal.
Aside from the amazing food, the service at La maison de la crêpe was top-notch. The staff were always quick to refill drinks and make sure we had everything we needed, and they went out of their way to make our experience enjoyable. The washrooms were also impeccably clean, which is always a plus in a restaurant.
But perhaps the most standout feature of La maison de la crêpe was their delicious hot chocolate. It was rich, creamy, and the perfect way to end a meal. We were tempted to order a second round, it was that good. And to top it all off, the prices at this restaurant were very reasonable. We were able to enjoy a delicious meal without breaking the bank.
In short, we had an absolutely fantastic experience at La maison de la crêpe and we would definitely go back again. If you're in the Mont Tremblant area, this is a must-try restaurant. The savoury and dessert crepes are both top-notch, the service is excellent, and the hot chocolate is a must-try. Not to mention, the restaurant is conveniently located and the prices are very reasonable. We highly recommend La maison de la crêpe to anyone...
Read moreI was so excited to try this place. We spend a few nights in Tremblant every year and this time around, I was determined to indulge in a crepe. My Fiance and I put our names down on a Tuesday Morning and were told it would be a 30 to 40 minute wait, and we'd be notified through SMS when the table became available. We received an initial text stating we were on the list and that we'd get a second text (when the table was ready). We were cool with that -- we're told the crepes are worth the wait. So we waited and waited and waited some more. After waiting close to an hour. We went back to the restaurant to get an update on the wait time. The attendant at the front (a very brusque and impatient woman) dismissed us and said people aren't leaving so we just had to wait. If you ask me, she was more keen on attending and assisting the French-speaking patrons waiting in line, but I don't want to assume...I have a sneaky suspicion that our table was given to someone else. After waiting 1.5 hours we gave up. we ended up enjoying a lovely lunch at the Pizzateria -- they have the BEST pizzas. But we were never notified that out table at the crepe house was ready. Did they forget? Did they choose not to message us? Perhaps they don't follow a proper first-come, first-serve process? I was...
Read moreBlatant racism and disrespect are the top items on their menu. My friend and I (both women of color) walked in and found an empty table since no one was at the front to greet us. A male server gave us water and menus, but then an old, grumpy woman (likely a senior staff member) stormed over and snatched the menu from us after rudely demanding to know who sat us down.
If there was some reservation policy, she could have simply informed us. Instead, she chose hostility and aggression, because apparently, basic respect doesn’t apply when the customers don’t look like her. If you can’t overcome your racist biases, don’t work in hospitality. Simple.
I pay more in a year for my tuition than this woman makes in two. People like her need to realize that people of color are not beneath them. The irony? In this case, it was quite the opposite. If they don’t kick her out of the plane for being grumpy and she somehow manages to reach my home country, I wouldn’t even hire her as a maid.Maybe that reality check would teach her some manners.
We didn’t say anything at the restaurant because we didn’t want to drop to her level and ruin everyone else’s experience like she ruined ours. Disgusting behaviour. Avoid this place unless you enjoy being treated...
