Desi Road-Fletchers Creek has always been our go-to spot, whether for takeout or dine-in, so naturally we expected a similar experience when we visited the Niagara location. Unfortunately, the service here didn’t match the standards we’re used to.
Before arriving, I even called to politely check if they could accommodate us close to their closing time. They said we were welcome, which we appreciated. But within five minutes of sitting down, we were told to place our full order quickly because the kitchen was closing soon. Understandable, everyone wants to go home but it felt rushed.
We ordered curries, breads, and desserts. Before the kitchen cut-off, my friends wanted to add two more breads, and I repeated the addition clearly. Somehow, our server thought we were doubling everything. When the food arrived, we were surprised by the amount of breads on the table. The food itself, including the desserts, was good no complaints there.
The issue came when the bill arrived. We noticed the breads were doubled in quantity. We pointed out the mistake but still paid the full bill. What disappointed us was the lack of acknowledgement from the server. Realistically, a table of four is not going to eat 5 naans, 2 rotis, and 2 paranthas. A simple, “Oh, that might’ve been a miscommunication,” would’ve been enough. Instead, it felt like an unnecessary upsell.
Overall, great food, but the service experience at this location needs improvement especially around communication...
Read moreTried out the new spot in Niagara Falls called Desi Road and honestly, it blew me away!
First off, the service was amazing — super friendly and attentive staff who really went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. You can tell they care about the little details, which makes the whole experience so much better.
Now the food… wow. Everything we ordered was packed with flavor and came out beautifully presented. What I really loved is how unique their menu is — they’ve got Indo-Mexican, Indian-Italian, and Indo-Chinese dishes, alongside classic Indian favorites. It’s such a fun twist and makes you want to try something new every time. Plus, serving everything with their personalized cutlery was such a nice touch — it felt classy but still cozy.
And I can’t forget the atmosphere. The place looks so elevated and fancy, but at the same time, it’s warm and home-like. It’s the kind of spot you can dress up for a night out or just relax with friends and still feel right at home. The design really makes it stand out from other restaurants in the area.
Overall, I’d give Desi Road 5 stars across the board — food, service, and aesthetics. If you’re in Niagara Falls and looking for a new restaurant that combines amazing flavors with a great vibe, this is the place to go. Definitely...
Read moreWe had a fantastic dining experience at Desi Road – Niagara Falls (Canada Side). From the moment we walked in, the ambiance set the tone for a memorable meal.
Starters: The Malai Soya Chap and Paneer Tikka were absolutely delicious – perfectly marinated and grilled to perfection. A great start to our meal!
Main Course: The highlight for me was the classic combo of Maa Ki Daal with Rumali Roti – a must-try! The dal was hearty and flavorful, and the soft Rumali roti complemented it beautifully. We also enjoyed the Paneer Matka Masala, which was rich and aromatic. Kids' Favorite: Our kids couldn’t get enough of the Creamy Burnt Garlic Penne – rich, flavorful, and comforting. It was a hit!
Dessert: And then came the showstopper – Ghewar Rabdi. OMG! It was so good that the four of us finished the plate in under a minute. Absolutely divine!
Service: A special shoutout to our server Charan K, who was incredibly helpful in suggesting the right dishes and patiently answering all of our kids’ questions. His friendly and attentive service made our experience even better.
Overall: While the prices are on the higher side, the quality of food, presentation, and ambiance make it totally worth it. If you're looking for a memorable Indian dining experience near Niagara Falls, Desi Road is a...
