A VERY TRUE AND GOOD READ!!
Let's talk about our absolutely horrible family experience at Bravo on our family vacation from Southern California to the Niagara falls. We yelped a few places in the area and found a few Italian places with pretty good reviews, but chose to give this place a shot due to the way it looked. We walked in and we were greeted just fine and told there would be a 20 min wait even though it seemed there was plenty of empty seats but maybe not enough waitresses. No problem. Keep in mind this place was not that busy.
The hostess sat us a party of four at our table. Our waitress seemed a little overly happy, her eyes and behavior showed signs of being intoxicated. She then ask what we would like to drink and decided my wife was not choosing well because they such a great selection to choose from. I'm pretty sure my 34 year old wife knows what she would like to drink. Then she came back with our waters, a soda and a blue moon for my wife and asked if we were ready to order. We then started to tell her what we wanted to eat and she started asking us why would we order that when there's so much better food here? Umm? My wife tried to order the lobster and mac and cheese and she insisted it was to much food for her and my son then my friend of 39 wanted fettuccini Alfrado and a pizza she insisted we order lobster and mac and cheese to share and a pizza. ??? Ok ok. She recommended it and we said ok sounds good. My son ordered a house salad with ranch on the side and she brought out an Italian salad so he tried it trying to be nice and sent it back not wanting another. Then the wait begin. Finished my water the wife ordered a second blue moon and we waited. ;;; for an hour and fifteen min.
The waitress came back with another blue moon, which we didn't order and we decided we were just going to take our business elsewhere. I'll have you know the tables on both sides of us that sat after we did got there food in about 50 min. Still very slow and they were also getting upset. The waitress then told us kindly that she was sorry and will get the manager out here and most likely comp our meals if we would like to stay and eat our food we ordered. Omg. So we waited another ten min. The manager which turned out to be most likely the owner came out and was already very defensive and told us we have only been waiting for 30 min. We then showed her a text from my friends wife saying we're are at Bravo waiting for our food. Yup an hour and a half ago. She was dumb founded. Then the party next to us kindly told the manager/owner that they did indeed get there food 20 min ago and we ordered before they did aprox 50 min before that. She didn't have anything smart to say.
So maybe the waitress forgot to put our order in, forgot we were siting there for a while, then remembered then forgot again and again? The manager then decided it would be a good idea to tell us we will get a discount if we stayed and ate our food ;;;; ummm. I then told her where is our food? No answer just a blank stare from her. We then begin our walk to the door. She quickly got in front of me with our bill for my wifes three drinks and my soda. I walked outside very upset. I was actually just going to leave and not pay but decided to walk back in because we are not from Canada and didn't want anything bad to happen. She handed me my bill and I said really? Another blank stare. I then told her I'm going to enjoy leaving my review very much and I hope she learns better business from this. I told her my friend and I both own companies in California and would never treat customers this way and we left.
No we would never ever come back and I would never recommend this place to anyone unless you have nothing to do on your vacation but wait for what looked like mediocre Italian food.
I'll will try and post a picture of our receipt so all will know this is a true real review.

Read moreJust got home after a visit to Bravo and the experience was definitely not Bravo. Walked in and wasn’t greeted by anyone at reception so went into the dining area which had no guests at all…. Was then shown to our table by a quite shy and very unconfident woman who didn’t introduce herself. After giving us our menu’s she returned literally 2mins later not giving us the time to look at the menu, once we had selected our food and drinks we gave this to our server and away she went, I opted for a Caesar salad starter and pizza Mediterranean main, whilst my wife skipped starter and ordered seafood linguine which was described as having prawns and lobster meat in it, a few mins later our server came back to tell me that the pizza I had chosen was off the menu so I chose a different one and away she went. Our drinks came (coke and a mocktail as no alcohol is served in the place) shortly followed by my Caesar salad….. good portion but the Caesar sauce definitely wasn’t made in house rather it was out of a bottle….. it also didn’t have Parmesan in it but had a bit of grated cheddar instead…..!!! I hadn’t even finished my starter and got my pizza delivered to the table and shortly afterwards my wife’s seafood pasta….. the pizza was greasy and salty and the base wasn’t a quality base it was something I would be expecting to get at a really bad fast food place and not somewhere charging $26 for it…. I ate 3 slices as I was extremely hungry and left the rest. I told our server that it wasn’t good and she took it away. My wife’s seafood pasta was also not great with the lobster meat being none existent….. I told our server this and she said “we no longer use lobster meat but instead use mussels” this is a place that has only be open for 2 months and they are already cutting so many corners…… I looked at my wife’s pasta that had its lobster meat substituted with “4” yes 4 mussels and just laughed…… this is a dish they charge $33 for…… a bit of pasta with 5 prawns and 4 mussels…..!!!!!! She ate half of the dish and left the rest feeling very underwhelmed. The server knocked off the price of the pizza from the bill but charged full for the pasta…….. all in all this is the worst dining experience I’ve had in many years. I would definitely recommend walking straight past this place and going to eat elsewhere…… They charge the prices that you’d expect for fine dining but you get cost cut cheap...
Read moreSo I really wanted to LOVE this place but to be honest it wasn’t great before it was halal and it’s actually worse now. Niagara needs better halal food. I realize they recently got bought over so I hope it gets better. The service was the only thing that was somewhat redeeming.
Atmosphere: I think it’s important that they figure out their identity. It’s now Mediterranean Italian and I’m not sure it’s working if they can’t get the basics right. They were playing mariachi music at one point. Then they were playing mariachi music on one side of the place and romantic Spanish on the other…we were sitting in the middle so it was very annoying to hear both at the same time.
Food: Their menu is not updated and everything we wanted to order was in the “old menu”. They are new, fine but why would you not tell us when you gave us the menus? What’s even worse the waitress only had the new menu on her WhatsApp so we kept trying to order things we wanted and by process of elimination vs what they had here is what we ordered.
Tabouleh - hard to find a tomato, onion, or wheat, very dry - not sure how you mess up a basic Mediterranean staple.
Lentil Soup - Flavor was there but extremely thick like a curry
Fettuccine Alfredo with grilled chicken - the sauce was very rich, too rich as it was cream based only. Couldn’t even tell if there was Parmesan in the sauce, just sort of tasted like cream with black pepper and salt. They didn’t ask us if we wanted any freshly grated parm so I doubt they have that. The chicken was absolutely overcooked and hard.
Mocktails - we were afraid to order dessert out of disappointment so we did drinks instead. Moscow Mule was great, mint lemonade tasted like water.
I am hoping that they really refine their dishes, identities and flavors as what they are offering right now for the price is not great. It could be great as the dishes have a good base and can be improved greatly with better spices. I’m not sure if the pizza and grilled meat is any better so I may come to try that if desperate. I also am a younger person but it seems like the staff they have hired in the front and back kitchen are very young and immature and I genuinely don’t feel that they care about the food they are pumping out.
I would recommend at least on visit to try but unless they really put in the effort, I don’t think they will last past this...
