Park Plaza Apartments — Hotel in Providencia

Very comfortable accommodation - room was spacious, clean and a bonus full kitchen with all utensils needed. Front desk staff (manned 24hrs - perfect for that late late night check in or 2am as mine was!) spoke good english and were very helpful. A continental breakfast is placed on a tray in your fridge each afternoon - enough food for breakfast (yoghurt, fruit and cookie) and a a sandwich to take out and about and essential tea and coffee. ||||Best benefit is "do it yourself" laundry on site (in apartment block right next door)! Such a rare find across South America. Tokens are avail form a vending machine and the nicely cleaned laundry had lots of machines so no delay. ||||Excellent Excellent free wifi!||||Negatives... a little noisy as people pass your rooms at all hours checking in and out. not the most sound proof corridors. Gym and laundry are not 24hrs...

First thing to point out is that this facility is different from Park Plaza Hotel which is located around the corner. This facility is centrally located and as such great for someone visiting Santiago. While the facility is well-kept, it is a little dated. It could use some modernizing. My main issue with the facility is the breakfast and the front desk staff. The breakfast is delivered late afternoon a day earlier. Essentially, it is cold breakfast that includes one coffee sachet. On the plus side, the room has two-faced cookers, electric water boiler, and utensils for small meals. The staff manning the front desk (there is no reception to talk about) are generally indifferent; they simply buzz you in and out of the facility and more often than not, do not even say ‘Hello’ as you go through. ||I recommend this facility with...

this is not tradition hotel, but apartment hotel, where rooms are spacious and kitchenette built-in. which means, there are everything you need, shall it be short or long stay. front desk personnel is attentive and helpful.||||there are some rooms at -1 lever and windows are faced to small internal yard with limited sun-light, but also very quiet. rooms are cleaned well!||||breakfast is brought to your room, but you need to agree on time. if you have an early departure, than they also can bring it on previous night. breakfast consist of basic items, but it is enough to start the day.
