Niko's II Adventure — Hotel in Puerto Natales

This is the worst hostel i have ever stayed in. I wish there was a way to give zero stars. Terrible service, terrible attitude of employees, the wifi doesn’t work, and not social at ALL. When we arrived, we were only given our room and not told any other information. When i asked about breakfast, they said it was all morning- not that it was only till 930 or that you had to reserve your breakfast in advance. Then the next morning we arrived at 931 for breakfast and they wouldn’t serve us. Then, our last day there i asked if we could rent poles for torres and they said yes, and a deposit of $250 would be required. I assumed we could use card because they did not specify cash. I asked if there was a time we needed to rent by and she said no, any time would work since they had them there. We went back later that night around 10 to rent them and was then told that the deposit was cash only and had to be $250. We were told there was a 24/7 ATM around the corner and we went and it was closed. We came back and she said try the CÓPEC that was a little more than half a mile away. I ran all the way there and back (she said we couldn’t rent them past 11) and spent $20 in fees pulling out cash. When i got back, at 1056, the lady had left despite me asking her to please wait, and the night guard was now here who wasn’t allowed to rent out poles. When we asked for the number of his boss so that we could see our other options he said he wasn’t allowed to give that information out. Absolutely terrible service. Finally, there are THREE wifi networks there and none of them work. None of them. And when i asked about it they said they would go ask, didn’t give any more information than that. This place is ridiculous and i highly recommend you find somewhere...

We arrived at the hostel on october 3rd. We were charged for the room immediately, which is ok in this type of hostel. We were then informed that breakfast would be available at 6.30 am. We had a bus scheduled to leave the city at 7.15 am and had been suggested by the bus company to be at the bus station at 7am. Therefore I asked if there was some way we could take part of the breakfast with us. The receptionist said that he would arrange with the night watchman - who also prepares the breakfast - to prepare ours at 6am instead, so that we could reach our bus on time. |The morning came and at the agreed time we went to the kitchen to check for our breakfast and to our surprise there was nothing ready: some moody guy dressed in yellow swimming trunks was preparing breakfast, didn't respond to our greeting, and kicked us out of the kitchen saying it was only open until 11pm. When I noted the notice didn't mention an opening time he stood there confused. I finally mentioned our breakfast and that since it was 6.45 already it should be ready, he said he was only preparing it now. |We decided to leave. In conclusion it's just another place with disappointing service aimed to profit from the rush...
