We went to La Rambla for a Sunday brunch and selected the free base flow package. I am frequently visiting brunch places in HK and the whole package is usually around HKD 1000. I am German with lots of base and upscale dining experience in Europe and Asia. Unfortunately La Rambla doesn’t meet at all the expectations that one would put in for a 1k HKD brunch. The 1st champagne, that finally came after 20min (out of 2.5 hours free flow) was relatively warm, and the the whole food experience was mediocre in terms of quality and quantity. It doesn’t feel good to ask for more and during a 550 HKD brunch (food part only) one may not like to be fed on cheap carbs, a small portion of Paella and one main dish (for two as told by the waiter!, while some Chinese table neighbors obviously insisted that two mains would be required, and we again didn’t feel like asking for it). Overall the quality was “alright “ but the food amount, and I am a slender, not overeating guy, and the service was definitely mediocre only, not at all worth 1k + 10% the bill. I suggest to stick with the brunch in one of the HK hotels such as Sheraton, Grand Hyatt, Continental (closed for renovation), or Conrad. These placed know how to provide exquisite service and food. Or, as a alternative, go to Pirata, 40% cheaper, better food, more food, and always a big smile around you. Ah, the Argentinian chef and the Switzerland educated HK restaurant manager where really friendly though, no...
Read moreThe overall dining experience was enjoyable, however, there were a couple of service mishaps.
Initially we received hot water instead of the cold water we requested, but the server quickly corrected the mistake. Additionally, our main course was supposed to be Option 2, but we were served Option 1, which fortunately turned out to be the delicious Mediterranean Baby Cuttlefish. This mix-up ended up being a pleasant surprise.
The number of servers seemed insufficient even though the restaurant was only half full. There were moments when it took longer than expected to catch the attention of a server. Having said that, they were friendly and able to addressed our concerns.
The food was exceptional, with vibrant flavors and high-quality ingredients. The tapas were delicious and the main course Mediterranean Baby Cuttlefish, in particular, was delightful and exceeded our expectations.
Considering the price of HK$3,200 for four (no wine), one might expect a higher level of service. However, the overall quality of the food and the unexpected positive twist with the Mediterranean Baby Cuttlefish somewhat compensated for the...

La Rambla by Catalunya at IFC in Hong Kong truly delivered a spectacular 5-star experience during our recent casual lunch! We were a group of three, and we all had a fantastic time from start to finish.
The setting itself is breathtaking. The uninterrupted views of the harbour are absolutely mesmerizing, providing a stunning backdrop that elevated the entire dining experience. It's the kind of place where you could happily linger just for the scenery.
But the beauty isn't just external; the food was absolutely top-notch! Every dish we tried was bursting with authentic Spanish flavours, prepared with precision and presented beautifully. From tapas to mains, the quality was consistently outstanding. The service was also excellent – attentive without being intrusive, contributing to a truly relaxed and enjoyable meal.
We left feeling incredibly satisfied, both by the culinary journey and the unforgettable ambiance. La Rambla is a must-visit for anyone seeking a premium dining experience in Hong Kong with incredible food and some of the best views in the city. Highly...
