Was here on a weekend afternoon for pre-birthday afternoon tea, and was totally disappointed.

We booked 2 weeks in advance and was told the 14:30 session was full (as expected), so we booked the 16:30 - 18:30 session as advised. There were only 3 waiters/waitresses on the floor, which was obviously understaffed. Everyone was so rushed and we felt pretty pushed approaching 18:00. And we decided to pay and leave at 18:15 as our utensils were taken away and it wasn’t a good idea to eat with bear hands.

The service was not rude but I could clearly feel the passive aggressiveness like some local yum cha restaurants. Hope the management would review the operational procedures and sufficiency of staff for...

One of the most overlooked places at Four Seasons Hotel as people are attracted by Lung King Heen, Argo, Caprice, and the Gallery. The Lounge serves decent Tea Stand menu (High Tea) and A La Carte menu. The High Tea set consists of savouries and sweets such as mille-feuille and Parisian flan. and Four Season's signature scones. Personally I prefer the sweets but some people find them to be too sweet. Apart from the High Tea set, you can also order from the A La Carte menu which contains dishes from other cuisines such as Laksa and Hainan Chicken rice, so there is a wide variety of choices who may prefer a meal with bigger servings. In particular I recommend the Hot Chocolate which is one of Four Seaon's...

Hostess this afternoon at the lounge clearly preferred to welcome two businessmen in suits rather than handle me (single diner in normal clothing). When I only wanted a simple scone at 5:30pm, I was quickly shut down with “last order”’ for afternoon tea already and “reservations start now”, clearly no place for me although it is an enormous lounge and was referred to the gift shop to purchase a scone instead. Actually I have been to millions of Four Seasons all over the world including HK many times. There are ways to communicate messages to guests and still make them feel valued. Communication needs to be improved and you should show the same level of respect to all guests...

Had the vegan gluten free high tea for a birthday celebration. The portions were very small. The scones were more like muffins and oily in texture. The sandwiches were really small, much much smaller than the typical bite-sized portions (and nothing special. Literally some mango/asparagus on gluten vegan free bread) The Panna cotta was more like agar agar. The other items were nothing special. We had high tea at Jim Thompson Tea Room at Cameron Highlands Resort (SLH hotel) and the vegan gluten free scones there tasted like normal scones and they made an effort to serve normal sized delicious sandwiches , unique desserts etc. Overpriced and Underwhelming

Service-wise, superb! The food is a tad expensive for the taste you're getting when it comes to starters and mains. We had the sirloin and at medium-rare it was cooked beautifully but the taste was lacking. Great care was given to the sides like potato gratin and sweet potato fries, though. The best surprise of the meal was the Guanaja Chocolate Crème!!! Absolute decadence and plenty of chocolate to feel guilty about if it were not for the tart mango-passion fruit compote underneath. We also tried the Paneer, Okra and Green Pea curry, but we're a bit disappointed by the mellowed down version of this. Not as flavourful as we'd expect.
