I’ve been going here for about a year now. Always experienced great service. But the last couple times there was a different worker who is downright rude and awful.
The first time it was the afternoon and she was the only one working the floor. The bar was empty and she was nowhere to be found. I wondered if it was closed. After waiting 5 minutes she came out and ignored us until we waved her over and she acted annoyed we were there.
Tonight I ordered takeaway and she charged me a 10% service charge (the food is on the table in a takeaway bag). I told her it was takeaway and she went to the back and came back and blamed me that she misheard me saying “takeaway”. When she gave my card and bill back she slammed it so hard on the table others turned. I usually don’t complain but that was so rude! I won’t come back if she’s working that day.
Edit: she also spilt the blood from the burger on me as she picked up our platters without apologizing. And the first time we visited she hid in the back almost the entire time we were there. We were entirely alone in the bar. Not to mention with the key in the...
Read moreI’m always very conflicted when I go out drinking in HK lol. Coming from UK, where going out to a pub is a very casual event, which doesn’t normally cost much, the prices in HK always give me a mini heart attack. Especially considering that alcohol in supermarkets just down the road, such as Wellcome or 759 are soooooo much cheaper. I just don’t understand the pricing. The service is also a bit weird. They often cater to westerners but having table service is still a little strange. Can’t fault the servers though as they’re accommodating. The beer was definitely very good. Lots of different types of ales. One thing to note is that drinks aren’t served in pints, but ounces and one large drinks is somewhere around 400-450ml. 16 oz beer prices are around 80-85 HKD. One thing about this particular bar is that seating is extremely uncomfortable. While it stacks great and saves space, it’ll hurt...
Read moreNot rating based on beer selection which OK with 16 beers including a plenty of classics like IPA and Pale Ales. Those are very welcome safe values as many other craft beer bars have almost exclusively experimental short production beers with all kinds of flavors from tea to chocolate with a few sour beers to cater for local clientele who actually don’t like beer in the first place. The reason I give a 1 is because I wanted to order a burger, the second most expensive item on their limited food menu, and asked if I could change the fries to a salad. The young new waiter went to ask the kitchen and said “No, burgers are only served with fries”. Any F&B place that does that doesn’t deserve more than a zero, but 1 is the minimum in. 5-star raring syatem. Went for the buffalo chicken wings with blue cheese dip,...
