June 7-23, 2011 Reasonable Quality/Price ratio; clean room; nice location near metro, restaurants and shopping malls. (+) The Hotel is situated in a quiet location in Tsim Sha Tsui, 5-10 minutes from Exit B of TST metro station, in Nathan Road, reachable thru Kimberley Road and very easy to find. Nice location near metro, restaurants and shopping malls, park. If you plan to reach the Hotel by taxi or need food delivery service, you might need to use the chinese name of the Hotel. (+) Rooms are clean, service changes blanket, tissue paper, towels and cleans toilet and trash can daily. (+) The room was quite small but ok for solo traveler with mirrors helping to make it look larger. It included air conditioner, in-room shower box and toilet (air fan in shower was working, though, the fan in the toilet wasn't). (-) Shower water temperature was a bit troublesome to handle, either too cold or too hot, but globally acceptable. (-) The bed is quite hard and a bit short, you probably might need to bend your knees to sleep if you are taller than 180cm. (+) The room also included a window, a quite big LCD TV and phone for free calls within the Hong Kong territory (landline and mobile). Internet is also available thru Ethernet (a cable can be requested to the staff). (-) WiFi connection is NOT available. The Internet connection and services like electronic door key went down in the weekend. Internet got back after 2 or 3 days. The hotel also provides a pool, though, it was under maintenance. Water leakage from air conditioner occurred after some days of use. I wish there was a small fridge or something to keep cold water, it's really hot in june. (-) Check-in was ok also at evening time (about 19.00) but I was pushed out for the check-out which seems to be done by noon or, at most, 12.20. So be sure you have your things packed and ready to go by that time on the last day. (+) Good quality/price ratio, I would probably stay in this Hotel again. Shopping Tip : Miramar shopping centre, The One, other malls and metro are just few minutes...
Read moreThe fact you have the word ‘Hotel’ in your title in an insult to all the other hotels in the area. You are clearly a doss house / guest house, vertical motel at best.Any hotel would be able to provide basic essentials like bottles of water in each guest room, and a cake of soap 🧼 for the shower - you failed to provide either. Then you used the “there’s a new policy where we can’t provide shampoo and soap in the bathroom to guest”, but you are “welcome to purchase a pack from the reception for $20HKD”. What the actual f* is this rort!! I had to purchase my own soap from the Big Circle mart to clean myself. I get the shampoo and conditioner but a small square cake of soap 🧼 is a basic bathroom essential. The AC rattled and hummed all night and the bed felt like freshly poured concrete that go harder as you slept on it. The pillow wasn’t supportive and there is no noise insulation you can hear everything in the corridors. I don’t care how cheap the room is, judging by the sleazy Kowloon area I guess that’s why you slugged me a hefty bond because most of your clients are drunk businessmen looking for ** and good times. You don’t provide soap, but here, have all the *** you need Johnny!! Ride her into the night!I will send you a Polaroid picture of myself, so you can look at it knowing you will never EVER see my face in your crappy hotel again. I recommend two options; providing basic essentials to guests to avoid my reviews like this; or sell the building, Knock it down and build better self contained apartments that can be hired. Doesn’t matter if it’s more expensive- people pay more not to sleep in a coffin sized guest room.Won’t be back...
Read moreAs a 3 star hotel, it was quite under whelming. Slippers, toothbrushes, shower gel, and shampoo were not provided. I'd expect this to be provided without having to incur additional charges.
A 1,000 hkd deposit is needed, which is quite high to me considering the room was 670 a night through a mobile discount. 500 is more acceptable for me.
The ac will rattle every now and then, the rattle is quite loud and can be easily mistaken for someone trying to get into the room which put me on edge as there is no additional lock to the room door.
The double bed is a little unforgiving, 2 singles joint together but the edge of the mattress is quite hard, so sleeping in the middle is very uncomfortable as the edge of both mattresses will dig into you. The duvet doesn't quite cover the size of the bed either, so if your SO likes to hog the blanket, you're screwed. Pillows are quite flat. I would have gotten better support from their bath towels. Both bedside light switches were not working as well.
Saving grace really is...
