Small cave-dark hotel with tiny rooms. Its location probably sustains its business but no effort is made to even maintain the standards.||||Despite a quite cute lobby the rest of the hotel is an absolute let down. Carpet at room floors is filthy, stained, irregular. Depressing. All flooring look so suspect we kept our shoes on even in the bathroom.||||You'll find amenities to be of the worst kind, unless you enjoy brushing your teeth with clay toothpaste and swallow a few toothbrush hairs.||||Phone line to the front desk didn’t work once the whole night. We had to make the trip downstairs to enquire about, but not only: the wifi password, wifi setup, a failing magnetic door-key, a broken hairdryer…).||||Hairdryer was broken.||||Horrible Wifi. Don’t count on the hotel connexion; here goes your 4G subscription... but even with hotspot the signal is so bad you won't stay online too long.||||Breakfast is horrendous. Staff's only concern is to make sure that you handle them your Free Breakfast coupon, as if anyone would want to steal into and get free toast and cold boiled eggs.||||I wouldn't even praise the location. Yes it is located on the Bund but there's nothing else to see, and if one of the posh venues or Michelin restaurants there is your thing I'm sure you also have a few more bucks to spend on your accommodation, rather than spoiling your stay by staying at...
Read moreDon’t be deceived! The wonderful location (only 100 metres from the Bund) doesn’t go with the price per night. The reason is simple: it’s nothing more than a doss house. It is bug-ridden, and after checking in and going for a short walk to the Bund I returned to my room to find bugs everywhere. I left.||On top of that, there was no closet, only a hanging rail with two hangers on it; no cupboardry of any sort. The bathroom was a disgrace - grouting was either missing or filthy. In the room, the laminated wood floor seemed to have been laid by a drunkard, with huge gaps between some laminate planks; the bed head stood a centimetre or so away from the wall, enough to accomodate a small naked bulb which served as a reading light.||On Health and Safety matters, beware, beware. The corner of the shower cubicle was made of rough-cast concrete; rough enough to scrape off a large amount of skin from my arm. A very...
Read moreI booked this hotel because of the great location ( trust me, really good!) But after we entered to our room we were horrified by how small it was, anyways the size was but the problem as we were aware by the room size before confirming our booking ( but it was too much, no space even to walk in the room which looks completely different than the pictures they show in ctrip.) the main problem was the cleanliness... how dirty the room was....I am not blaming on the housekeeping staff.. The lady was kind and she assisted us opening our room door with a kind smile but I saw she was the only one working in that shift. I feel sorry for her and the management should do something about it. |The only good thing was that the front desk staff accepted our cancelation request and thanks to that we could find another hotel nearby. Thank u ! ||The pictures talk...
