Mascomunal hostel — Hotel in Medellín

Great little hostel! Booked it as it was cheaper than the other hostels in the area for the weekend but it was close enough to them that I could still go there. The reception was rather confusing as there isn’t really one other than the restaurant next to it. The rooms are pretty good, I had a whole dorm to myself so it is super quiet. The kitchen is alright, does the job but good as it’s so quiet you basically have it to yourself. The showers aren’t exactly hot but they do the job. Overall I recommend for a 2 night stay!...

Terrible! They ‘forgot’ to give me the code of the door so I ended up in the street trying to call them many times. Even after 5 hours no reaction at all. I had to go and find another place very late in the evening. This was hard and It seems they didn’t care at all. Also, the kitchen is a mess. The host is not responsive. The room is way too hot. Don’t recommend this place at all, there are way nicer...

This hostel is really new and there are some pros and cons for this reason. First of, the dorms are really nice, the beds are comfy, and each have their own fan, light and little shelf. The hostel is really aesthetic, but isn’t practical… The kitchen is poorly equipped and there are not enough place for people to chill and meet each other. This accommodation felt more like an Airbnb...
